    Because if he doesnt have a backup and his drive did happen to fail, then he looses all data anyway. Plus, filevault is buggy and slows down everything.

    Apple has two routes to go down if you want an out of warranty part replaced. There is exchange, and there is replace. If you choose exchange then Apple takes back the original part for refurbishing, and it costs less to replace the part. If you choose replace then the part costs more, but you get the old part back. This procedure is completely standard for many companies.

    The guy's an idiot for replacing the drive through Apple anyway. It's far cheaper to get a Seagate/Toshiba and get the tech to install it. Again, more sensationalist rubbish about Apple. He should have read the EULA.

    No data loss with TimeMachine :) They fixed the move issue in 10.5.1, I believe that issue still exists in Windows FYI, might want to watch that at work ;)

    It all depends on what you can do with those ports. I'm sure as anything that if you had the firewall turned off on Linux and Windows machines, that Windows machines would get attacked, and Linux wouldn't have a single issue.

    I still don't understand why people use Windows. Why do you have to go through so much hassle just to use the OS... My key to stable OS: Use OS X 10.5 Load latest updates whenever released Dont hack anything in the system ??? Profit!!!!

    Rubbish. I work as a mac technician and I haven't witnessed any issues with this new update. Its most likely caused by disk corruption more than anything else, can't believe this made news.. Same with Vista being in the top ten worst tech list. I can speak for the rest of us by saying "a-duuuuuuh..!!"

    Apple jumped into the phone market with no previous experience in that area, and they did pretty well out of it. With enough R&D there's no reason why they couldn't make a kick ass device!

    Scenario: So you get home from work to have a shower and walk to your mates place to play Halo 3 on your mates wicked Xbox 360. You just got squirted some cool tunes from a workmate, and you cant wait to listen to them on the way to your friends place. You leave your new Zune next to your computer. It wirelessly syncs to your computer while you have a shower. You come back to listen to the freshly squirted tunes and low and behold, the battery has died. Fuck it, I'm going to learn how to whistle.

    One of the new colours is green. Its the same colour as puke after getting food poisoning from uncooked chicken, and we all know we like chicken salad. Don't we?
