If HP had stayed by Napster's side, I wonder how much more successful things would have been... It is good to see more companies adopting online music downloading for a price, while the RIAA campaigns against it, however it would be nice to have some stiff compatition against iTunes. Remember, competition is a good thing..
OS Supported: Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP, Windows 2000 Supported Media Players: Dell Jukebox by Musicmatch, Windows Media Player 9, RealONE Player
Well, the iPod was only available to Apple users to start with and they sold pretty well...
I wonder if you can use this as a device to store files like the iPod. If it is plug-and-pray w/USB 2.0, couldn't they say it is supported by any OS that supports USB?
I really liked Episode 6, but after that things soft of fell off. 4 episodes to introduce the character in the black armor (no spoilers). I do like the one that is known as "The heavy"...
HP has announced that the cost of their Linux servers has gone up by $699, but HP will support you from a SCO standpoint, in this new cost structure, for no additional cost... Like HP would do it for free, they have Gulfwings (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11542) to pay for
I was wondering if anyone could provide a screen shot with the Bork enabled on msn.com. I don't have a choice of a browser here at work, so I am curious what it looks like.
When they will test out computers against man in other games that Man wins at currently? I remember Wired had an article about games that Man can beat computers at. I am sure that a computer could whoop some ass at Scrabble against a human, but what about backgammon?
So, this kid plays his video games for seven hours a day and people blame his hands on the controllers? Why would he be allowed to play those games for seven hours? I didn't think that HALO took that long to beat?

The tracking wouldn't have to be on...

Laptop Lojack?

· Score: 1
In order for this to work, it (the tracking system) wouldn't have to be on, but just to send out a beacon once turned on. Another idea would be to put one of those stamps on it that once removed still says information, like, "This Laptop should not leave the ". That along with the only-send-out-becons-when-one idea might help curb this problem. --
Anyone wonder why it comes with an 8GB hard drive ? Does this spell the end of those memory cards ? None of the other systems (PSX,N64,Dolphin) have hard drives, why the X-Box ? Then again, this release w/the product itself has FUD written all over it
...X-Box is a prime example of a console entering the market at the leading edge of Technology, which is exactly where we want our games to be
-Bungle INC
What leading edge technology ? 600 Mhz Celeron Chip, 8Gb hard drive, 3-D NVIDA card. Sounds like cutting edge about six - nine months ago. --
Does this mean that they will also pay for support for said systems ? Will they come with Windoze or Linux?
And why anyways ? To encourage people to keep working there? Maybe they should save their money for doing more testing before they release second rate processors with lots of errors.
Don't many users of Linux use Star Office ? Wouldn't Linux users be more likely to use an application that is Free and easy to use ?
Besides, does M$ have the patience or the know how to create the different distros of office, or are they going to distribute the source code out for the applications ?
(Of course it would be fun to have the source code.....) --
Why would the Govt' brag about actually having a multi-million dollar computer facility, after the fact ? Why wouldn't the Govt quietly just get rid of all of these wonderful plasma screens just like they got rid of the Ark of the Covenant ? Just seems fishy to me that they would brag about all of this power, now.
I agree. It was a decent movie, while I am unsure if the topic really applies to/.
But the few cameos were pretty funny, and it does in regular Scream fashion keep you unsure of who the killer could be.
Plus any movie that has a Cameo with Jay and Silent Bob is well worth my $7.00 Plus the suprise appearance of Jaime Kennedy (Randy), even though he had died in the second movie was probably the main reason that I went. Stop the MPAA! My letter from the MPAA regarding my DECSS files is at http://www.conspiracynow.com/theories/decss --
I personally loved Dogma. I also loved the props that they finally gave to John Hughes. Kevin Smith has long been a fan of John Hughes. I wish we could have seen more of Grant Hicks (Brian O'Halloran), but I guess he will be in the next movie of Kevin's. Too bad Jason Lee was still busy with Mumford. I hear that he was supposed to be the other lead opposite Ben Affleck.
But at the same time, I thought that this movie was the darkest of Kevin Smith's movies. Besides, I'm not even supposed to be here today.
1. iMac people are still Apple people at heart. That should earn them some support. Apple has been Anti-Micro$oft since before any of our movement existed. 2. iMac running Linux ? Sounds like the cheapest Un*x Risc box around.

And then change their minds a few months later, like Solaris 9?
