I agree. What is interesting is that this is usually the type of thing you see when the artist/author is color blind. Though this is probably the best summary I've seen of these particles, some hue adjustmet seems to be called for... =)
"Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We are the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no great war, no Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our Great Depression...is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't...And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very...very...pissed off." --TD, FC
How about the one that says your internet connection is not optimized? It's assuming I have not optimized my connection, but they can't know that from a banner ad.
It's not much different than if an auto repair shop tells *all* of their customers, that their engines are not tuned, and that for an additional $400 they can do it for you. This includes customers who already *are* fully tuned, who will still be blindly asked to pay $400 regardlessly.
How, praytell, will you solve their problem? The system says it can't save due to memory, not "access denied." And secondly, how will rebooting help them save their file?
It sounds more like a solution to your problem... They lose their document, you apologize and hang up, and they never bother you again =)
Back in the late 80's or early 90's, I acquired a simplex 300 baud modem setup once. It required two phone lines: one line for sending data, and the other for receiving data. The thing was in a large metal case, about the size and dimensions of a 12-pack of soda.
Simple to counter-balance... Just set up a recurring monthly donation to the EFF. I've been sending them $25/month for a while now. I can go watch a movie with friends without feeling guilty about funding the MPAA.

Still, that's the point. $200 is a hard threshold for a lot of people.
Each negative response to your comment that doesn't offer an alternative only goes to show where the stupidity comes from.

If I understand Bell's Theorem correctly, doesn't it boil down to the fact that we don't really have free will anyway?

At that point, is it not easier to say it's 1429 gallons to the mile? =)
The basic problem is we are using base 10. If everything were done in octal, it would all have worked out so much easier =)
Personally, I'm going to enjoy the gray goo vs blue goo celebrity deathmatch.
I'll buy one as long as it's 40x and supports reading DVDs.

Supports Linux and Windows...
I remember they were like ultra-crude music videos on your computer, as they'd sync the C64 text graphics with the song....
I'd love to see some of these turned into a screensaver of sorts... Definitely more my style than the fancy stuff that's out there now...
