I usually avoid reg sites too however I filled out the simple reg for NY Times a long time ago and never had them contact me or had any spam increase and now I just laugh when people whine about NY Times since I just click on the links and get the story everytime.
Oh, yah. That'll really piss of M$. License any programs that might be a competition for their software so it can't be run under windows. That'll hurt the open source community more then anything M$ does. Hell I like linux but someone says I'm not allowed to compile their shite under windows then I'll just say fsck them I'll use some other program.
All you did was increase your spam. Years ago I started getting some spam and I replied with remove emails. Guess what. Then I got lots of spam. Now when I get spam I just hit d and forget it. Guess what now. I hardly get any spam at all.
"I have to wonder: is Microsoft's next tactic going to be requiring a separate license for each pair of EYES viewing their product?"
Actually you'll need to have two licenses if you want to use both eyes simultaneously. Also it will be illegal to transmit the images from your eyes to the brain unless the nerves are equiped with a DRM device.
Had a similiar sounding experience. I worked at a small isp once. The servers and modem pool were across the road in a small building. Unknown to the guy renting the place a water pipe was flowing through the ceiling of the server building. The thing blew. It looked like a damn rain forest when we got in there.
I don't see why it would have to be run as root to infect files owned by the user it's run as. What if you ran it as yourself and later ran your own files as root?
Why do people post links to these ancient web servers? Does anyone think that a 5Mhz box with 512K-2M of ram is going to stand up to a slashdotting? Since we all know what's going to happen couldn't this be considered an intentional DOS?
I bought a game boy light from pelican accessories
which seems pretty good.
I wonder if Nintendo ever considered a company developing an internet connection for gba. Can you see trying to play Mario Kart with incredible lag like Q1.
I think the problem is probably that not enough
people take the time to meta-moderate. If those people who abuse moderation got ranked as unfair enough in the meta-moderation then they wouldn't be able to moderate anymore.
I get scanned a few times every time I'm logged into my dialup service. Of course this has increased a lot since my local isp was sucked into Earthlink.:-(
I started with Southwind which got sucked up by Onemain which got sucked up by Earthlink.:-( I haven't had problems so far but fortunately I use a non Earthlink email account. A friend of mine who uses his old email says email's been shit since the Earthlink merger.
I hate having to mess with a browser to read documentation. I also hate info. I use it so rarely that everytime I do use it I have to figure it out again. It's so much nicer just being able to type man and get the information I want.

I thought the funniest part was that they stole the alarm system too. :-)

I believe he said 640K not 64K
Opera works just fine if you tell it to say it's exploder.
What does common sense have to do with the government?

Hmm.. I haven't had a crash yet. Of course as soon as I turned it on I installed all the available patches.
It's not offtopic. There's some dumbass moderator who rates everything offtopic.
M$ creates a program that keeps logs! Stop the presses!! Doesn't just about every program on a unix system keep logs? ;-)
They'll love this. Soon they'll be build up enough time to fit in another car commercial. :-)
Hmm... Guess I'll stick with 95 and 98. I've never had to reinstall either.

The problem with that is most sites use as an ad service. You'll see the anoying ads wherever you go.
Does this mean if we look close we'll see stupid bots trying to run through walls due to bad waypoints?
If you don't like Katz filter him out in your preferences and quit your whining.

I know better then to go on one of those. :-)
