It's called fiat currency. What that basically means is money has value only because people say it does. "That's a good deal" is a daily example of this.
Yes it's soft, but it's super dense. If you can make a hollow sledgehammer out of something strong then fill it with gold, you could bludgeon someone's head off in one good smack.
Every other month there is fresh firmware to fix some or another problem and firmware updating is manual labor with a boot CD, not something you can simply schedule at night or do while the system is online so they are what I would call beta-quality.
Why can't firmware be upgraded on SSD drives thusly:
there are x-MB where they are labeled bad blocks, always. The firmware updater (which can be written in a script since writes to these bad blocks are just a dd in a specific place), the controller checks a signature, and if passed then halts all writes and reads while it upgrades the firmware.
Then when it completes all reads and writes resume.;) Yes I know that can be disastrous but that seems like a good way to live update.
Um. I'll ignore the easy inhumane shot and point out the potential problem in your pocket:
War and riots cost money. For example, they sabotage the plant with a strike or a bomb... your precious products will suddenly get a huge price increase and/or get a huge rise in cost.
The Windows installer "Mint4Win", which is a fork of Wubi, is included on the Live CD and allows Linux Mint to be installed from within Microsoft Windows. The operating system can then be removed as any other Windows software using the Windows Control Panel). This method requires no partitioning of a Windows user's hard drive. It is only useful for Windows users; it is not meant for permanent installations as it incurs a slight performance loss.
You were reading about the hardy mint version. It's there, just a different name.
Any distro that can play DVDs or decode MP3s or rip a CD or a DVD will be flagged as a problem and get added to the list of things you are not allowed to download.
Those are not installed by default on Ubuntu. You can download then after agreeing that it's either legal in your country or you alone are willing to take the risk installing them on your machine.
I used to but I use transmission now because it works just as well and at least I don't have to worry about it being owned by Bittorrent Inc and not having a backdoor...
No they didn't. Nullsoft (Which also made Winamp and other software) made shoutcast. AOL bought Nullsoft.
Your analysis is so close but not 100% correct.
People don't know what they want until they don't have it.
This applies to everything. Relationships, tech, money...

A brick sized amount of gold is around 40 pounds.

They invented Algebra.
And 0.
So you use one of their products every second of your life.

That's dangerous and ridiculous to be able to copyright facts.
People have 4 fingers and 1 thumb on each hand.
Now nobody can report that anywhere! MWAHAHAHAHA.

If this is possible using javascript that is also possible.

Here it is after running it through a javascript beautifier. ... From what I see, yeah, he implemented it.
The point was to prove HTML5+Javascript can do everything Flash can do.
Now the next step is to do it better.
http://smokescreen.us/demos/sb45demo.html
Just open it in Chrome. I can't tell the difference between the flash and the javascript version.
(Also oddly enough the source code is right here? http://smokescreen.us/demos/js/smokescreen.0.1.3-min.js or did he mean he'll clean it up...)
Who's fault is it when you're walking on a highway?

No, the sun isn't having its cycle because it's pregnant. DUH.
(Also am I the only one who thought Sun as in the company?)
Then you'll rationalize irrational behavior, including your own, and leave it at that.

It's a feature complete clone of Ubuntu.
(This means the answer is yes, and I don't have to look it up to find out either)
An operating system that doesn't hold the hands of the incompetent will never earn any market share.
Irony: no operating system to date can or ever will do this without a Fisher-Price GUI.
runs natively
You're not a very good troll. Try again later.
(Hint: this is a Wine thread.)

In other words you're saying:
Yo darkmeridian, I'm happy for you and Imma let you finish, but Linux with Wine is the best combination of ALL TIME.
My god, Wine has no use whatsoever
