Did Amazon put a lease on the Kindle? No.
It's yours. The debt was paid and you own the device. You can bash it in with a hammer if you wanted. There's nothing stopping you from doing anything to the hardware, including damaging it. There's no law against hacking hardware, and you can already put your own ebooks on it so it's a moot point that it promotes piracy like you can argue for consoles. There are laws on the effects and results it can cause, mostly to do with the FCC and radio frequencies, and other illegal things you can do with any normal computer. The EULA has no sticking power.
Now, the idea that the 3G internet connection still works is interesting. There's no login credentials. So technically you DO have unlimited access to their network, until they decide to ban your chip ID. Then someone could make a class-action lawsuit and say they gave me unlimited access, you can't ban me.
Some webmasters have spent years tweaking their layout and designing their site, and very few get any traffic. This site, as shitty as it looks, gets over 1 million visits per month. I use large fonts also as a protest against all the stylish garbage you see out there. When I go to a web site, I WANT TO READ THE CONTENT. Trust me, that micro-font everyone uses isn't nearly as original as they think. I've chosen a black background for most of my text because it's easier on the eyes than staring at a white screen. Think about it: your monitor is not a piece of paper, no matter how hard you try to make it one. Staring at a white background while you read is like staring at a light bulb (don't believe me? Try turning off the lights next time you use a word processor). Would you stare at a light bulb for hours at a time? Not if you want to keep your vision.
Also negative filters on command by window. I like my eyesight, thanks.
Prosecutors have argued that the bail is appropriate because, if released, Childs could cause damage to San Francisco's network.
Yeah, so can anyone who's competent with networking.
Just admit that he was presumed guilty before a trial you incompetent fools. You all are making yourselves look more and more like idiots, and the Childs is laughing his ass off in jail.
Oops shouldn't have said that out loud, I might be labeled a terrorist.
Is it really that much of a pain in the ass to download drivers and reboot the computer to install drivers? I mean that's a really big upgrade, even if Most Linux distributions had it for a long time now, and that is only needed for the small amount of hardware it doesn't support, which is usually the graphics card.
Concrete is solid like a rock. The reason concrete cracks in the weather is because it expands and contracts because of the temperature and water content. If the solar panels were a lot more pliable, just as strong, waterproof, and had something like the self healing plastic abilities, I think it can work just fine.
Psh. Have you seen the new temporary guest account in Ubuntu? It can be used basically as the Private Browsing mode for the entire computer. Complete lockdown, new Firefox Profile, etc. and when you log off, everything is erased.
And all I have to do is click my username on the top right and hit Guest Session.
In the prison cell.

Hot stuff?
(I'm just throwing all the obvious puns, I'm done.
I have a compiz command that can negative a window or the entire screen. It's Super/Windows Key+ N or M respectively.
Using a word processor like this or reading is very easy on the eyes.

I hit windows/super key+n and all colors invert in a window. The reason it's dark gray is because it's also gray inverted ;)
This is something I really like about compiz and makes text really easy to read.
Notebook.
The tabs also appear when you press ctrl if that helps any.
But I'm just showing you an alternative. Don't take it too seriously. Also the tabs can be permanently stuck on the side, and it doesn't have to hide.

These tabs appear when you move the mouse to the screen edge.
I know I posted that earlier but I'm mentioning it again just for you =p the add-on is tree style tab by the way.

Tabs on side, appears on hover of firefox edge. I use the add-on tree style tab. Ignore the colors, I have my theme dark on purpose.

On behalf of all the web developers and security people out there, let me post this for them.
Make a game console and sell it then.
It has been updated a bit, reinstall it. I worked out the kinks and now it should work flawlessly.
Done. Just tell your friends about how Shikaku made it for you.

Because it's true?
Lipo batteries pop and swell and get really hot before they explode.
It's a photo of the President of the United States being defamed, how much more about the government does it need to be?

The 1800s sent morse code just now, they want their campaign slogan back.
