Well, that idea has a problem, brains don't do calculations very well when drunk. That's the reason , you see drunks stumbling around, because their brain is miscalculating balance.
Not to mention the fact that brains are better at pattern recognition than math.
No, this is not the Elder Scrolls, its obviously Duke Nukem Forever. I mean they've been working on it for ten years now. Guess what else takes 10 years, FDA clinical trials. Duke Nukem Forever obviously comes with a direct brain neural interface. The game hasn't come out yet because the FDA hasn't approved the surgery to implant the interface.
Thats why you put drinks in it, so they get stolen first. Or put stuff in there that no one would ever dare eat or drink, like a moldy sandwich with a bite taken out of it or a soda that is not entirely empty. Don't forget to use an old mini fridge which no one would likely steal.
An arm and hammer baking soda container filled with salt should be able to dehumidify the container rather well. Don't forget that the gasket on the fridge provides a fairly good seal against the humid environment.
2 words: Mini fridge.
Provides ample cooling and looks like something you would have in a typical office. People don't tend to look in a mini fridge for a laptop or data. As long as no one knows that you keep your stuff in it your safe. Maybe put a couple of drinks in there, to hide your laptop or even a secret compartment.
You're so lucky, I live in Texas where it gets so hot, it rains molten metal. If we are lucky, it rains solid metal, in the winter of course.
Well, I have to go, its night now, which means that the temperature is low enough to venture out of the life support module to repair the ceramic radiators.
Does it matter, yes it does. In fact, there is big big money in finding simple very primitive organisms. Primitive organisms are easy to engineer organisms, which means that it is easy to turn them into oil making machines, which means big bucks.
Ever heard of watermelon snow? Or algae that lives on ice(and has a nice watermelon scent)? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_algae/
But, I definitely agree, why aren't cryophiles so much more common?
Sir, do you realize what you are doing is illegal in nerddom? Having ESPN and Slashdot in the same window could result in a nerd-jock cancellation reaction resulting in the destruction of the universe as we know it? Your nerd license has been officially revoked for participating in this dangerous behaviour.
SINGLE WALL nanotubes do no harm? That is really surprised me because single wall nanotubes are a lot thinner than multiwall and most of the worries have been about them acting like tiny katanas and slicing up cell membranes. A while back someone made an antiseptic coating using carbon nanotube set up like a tiny sharp as hell bed of nails. Another worry was that biomolecules, DNA, RNA, proteins, etc might wrap around single wall nanotubes and gum up cellular machinery. In fact someone used this property to make a nifty little mercury sensor. See more here http://www.news.uiuc.edu/NEWS/06/0126nanotubes.html
Of course the nanotubes were coated with polyethylene glycol to prevent stuff like this from happening, so nanotubes might still be toxic uncoated.
There definitely needs to be another study done on nanotube toxicity to confirm the results.
What if the AI has living components? What if you lost half of your body(including the brain, kidneys, endocrine organs, and such) and that technology could completely replace and simulate the lost half, would you have half a soul? Would you be half dead? And what happens when you replace more and more cells with technology? Would you have a soul if you had 1 real brain cell and the rest were simulated?
Now let me complicate things further, what happens if you make an exact copy of yourself having the exact same neural wiring pattern and everything(through entirely ethical means of course)? Would the 2 of you have 1 soul or 2? What happens if two different people attach their brains together, again, do they have 1 soul or 2?
Simple, neither, Chuck Norris would. Chuck Norris wins everything.
I for one, welcome our automatic space delivery overlords.

Didn't the panther moderns(fictional group that bears a striking similarity to anon) do something similar in Neuromancer?
It will soon...
Yeah, but those features are only available to Black Mesa employees.
Hide them inside an old pizza box. Few people I know would ever steal week old pizza.

Easily solved with a desiccants or putting the items to be secured in a separate chamber.
You don't.

They sound real official, I wonder if they have Tachikomas like Japan's Public Security Section 9.
We almost have a working Von Neuman Machine. http://reprap.org/bin/view/Main/WebHome
Its currently capable of replicating about 50% of its own parts.

DO NOT WANT!!! I am sorry, I just had to post this.
Strange, they released the release date for an evolution game on Darwin Day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwin_Day
My BS-ometer is giving me a reading of 100,000 Mega-Nixons!!!!
