Indeed. I have a friend who does a lot of video work. He had a $40K Pinnacle System that he ditched for a G5 setup. He actually had a G4 running Final Cut Pro 2.0 for a while, and loved it. It blew circles around his Pinnacle system. Now that he has a G5 system with Final Cut Pro (latest version), he is in heaven. It is a very very slick system.
The SANs system will be a boon to production companies. The biggest issue with working with video is disk space.......you need LOTS of space.....
Apple really does things right. Look at their products compared to Microsoft. OS X is way ahead of Windows XP. G5's are slick. iPod, Xservers, iMacs, eMacs, and their laptop lines. iLife. Logic. Final Cut Pro, Shake, etc.
Simply, they are the trend setters. Best computer company period!
I would happily put linux on my iPod if it would record stereo tracks. I hear it is technically possible, but.........no one has anything other than those crap voice recorders (mono).
A lot of Anime shows have very good story lines. I think they are really underrated. I just got done watching "Lost Universe". I really enjoyed it. Currently watching Berserk. Very strange but.....good. Other favorites are Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop,
Farscape I enjoyed as well. Good stories mostly. I would love to see them bring it back. I also have been enjoying Andromedia. It has gotten interesting in the new season. Hercules (with Kevin S. again) was a great series as well. However, if you've run out of good plot ideas, it might be better to leave it be. In Farscape's case, I'm only in the second season (no sci-fi channel), and I still think it's good.
I'm hoping the forthcoming Battlestar Galactica series will be good too. The Mini-series/Movie they showed was great. I expected it to be bad, but it was great. And I revisited the original series. I liked some of the characters, like Starbuck, but it isn't nearly as good as the Sci-fi series.
And Rommie? My favorite sci-fi babe? Oh man......that is a though blow.
I have two laser disc players. Check Ebay for them....
Now Rhythmbox looks nice. Like iTunes. It's too bad Apple hasn't ported iTunes to linux. Could open up the market even more....
Look at how ugly that interface is. Apple should sue just over that!
Here cowboy neal...........chocolate.......yummy. You know you want to give up all the passwords to the slashdot.org sites.
I know, I paid the modders to mod me up :-P
Indeed, yet Apple has Legacy issues it constantly overcomes. 680X0 to PowerPC, and OS 9 (Classic) to OS X. Amazing company. Seriously.

Yes we are! Actually, you just need to try them once and you'd see why people love macs.
Yes, and Apple's software endeavors seem to exceed most of the offerings out there. Why do you need Acrobat when you can print directly to PDF?
Thankyou! Man, you say one good thing about apple with no references to Linux and look what happens!

Seriously, I know of NO ONE who has bought anything off Real's service. It's either an iPod with iTunes or a Dell iPod clone and their service......
If they had been smarter they would have patented the process in creating spam.
The ONLINE STORE isn't making a profit, but the RIAA is. Doesn't like 80%+ of the 99 cents go to them?
True, Michael is probably the best saxophonist alive.
huh? what?
Gotta shuttle all that porn around the home network huh? ;-)

Now go and be a good boy and have another orgasm at the thought of Farscape returning....
Orac and Avon. Probably my favorite sci-fi characters yet.

Anyhow, Farscape coming back is a good thing
They need a slashdot proof webserver instead!
121 gigs..........man, thats less than HALF of my collection.
Ah, but, if you use a Mac, and have OS X, then iTunes is the only choice. Winamp no run on OS X :-(
