The issues with Final Cut Pro X was a change in market focus, not a design problem. Apple is now a consumer electronics company through and through. If you want software for professionals you'll have to start looking elsewhere.
The problem with Windows Phone 7 is the commercials, they are boring and forgettable. On top of that, the message of the commercials are people who spend time on their smartphones are losers which is the opposite message you should be sending to early adopters who you need to grab first.
With smartphones becoming the main computer for the general public (not the/. crowd of course) it's no surprise that phones will take over as the main game 'console' for consumers. Video Game companies are still coming to grip or flat out ignoring this reality and $1.99 games.
It's cute that some open source people believe there is any software that isn't violating some patent. Our patent system is broken and only seems to be getting worse.
An IP address only points to the person being billed for a service, it doesn't prove anything as far as who did what; especially if someone has cracked your WiFi.
I never hear Democrats talking about the "Fairness Doctrine" only Republicans bring it up as an imaginary Get Out of Jail Free card for whatever latest bullshit they are trying to pull.
With corporate interests pushing governments to use domain name forfeitures to punish people/groups it finds threatening to their interests, it will cause people to create new name services.
I think anyone who works in IT long enough comes to think of printing as the biggest waste of money in corporate America. How many forests have ended up as paper jams in a printer because a manager wanted to print his email.
Simply using one of these will eventually get someone convicted of destroying evidence; assuming Toshiba doesn't have a master key for law enforcement.
I'm so glad I finally got rid of cable. If you leave near a major city where your local stations are located, take a look at getting an indoor HD antenna. (I'm using the Winegard SS-3000, kinda big but works great.)
