So what your saying is that if someone makes their own game with their own client and server, then Blizzard cannot charge them? I guess Blizzard will have to stick to that old business model of only charging for their own products and services.
It's not about getting used to the touchpad, it's about working in a comfortable environment.
Where I work 100% of the people with laptops (who sit at a desk) have a mouse, keyboard and stand (so the laptop screen is at the correct height). The last thing my company wants is people complaining of RSI because they are forced to be hunched over a compact keyboard and touchpad with the screen at the wrong height.
When the people with laptops actually travel they don't take the extra peripherals because the compact keyboard and touchpad are good enough while on the move, in a meeting, or giving a presentation.
When I hear thought controlled prosthetics I think of Red Dwarf where Lister get a prosthetic arm, which is controlled by his subconscious. He has to *really* want to move it, but however much he thinks he wants to pick up the ball all he really wants to do is punch Kryton in the face.
I was wondering what would happen if you quit your job and got re-hired at another company with similar terms in the 6 months. Would they fight amongst themselves for your ideas? Would the oldest be voided by the newest, or vice-versa?
If the oldest one gets voided by the newer, couldn't you sign a contract written by yourself (after signing theirs) giving all ideas to yourself? If the oldest one has precedence just sign your contract before theirs.
That way you are already under contract to provide all inventions to yourself.
Head over heals is exactly what I thought when I read that section. After hours of isometric puzzling you manage to get them together then have many more hours going back to all those parts you couldn't do with just the one half of the duo. Great stuff!
It's amazing how arrogant and greedy record companies and certain artists are. They're like some price fixing cartel. Music just isn't worth as much as it was, but they seem to be blind (or just ignorant) to that and feel they should still make millions just because that is what has happened before.
Industries come and go, sometimes they just slump until the next big thing. The music industry seems like it's on the downward slope, it may die off but I doubt it because there will always be good musicians making music people are willing to pay to hear.
Anything that doesn't change and adapt will fail. Unless it's legislated to keep it afloat. Imagine record companies being subsidised by government for pirated music. *Shudder*

Hehe, you're right, good spot.
It may just be the guy who fabricated the image trying to add a trek reference though, and not something Virgin planned on calling their craft.
I don't remember Mandatory saying that.

It's not an entirely original article. A book was reviewed on /. along this line of thinking over 2 years ago.
http://books.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/03/09/2050249
The article clearly states that Kieron Gillen wrote it.
/. that are critisising the article without bothering to read it. They criticise Jim.
We can see all the people on
If only you'd extended your fantasy to use Planet Express instead. You could have a sexy one-eyed mutant with purple hair deliver it.
