I gave up clicking on links to articles on any post that doesn't link to the top 100 company's on the Fortune 500.
Even then i don't think it would be too complicated to create a Slashdot Google-Cache-esqe type mirroring system (Open Source of course) so we can at least read the articles...but then again most commenters don't even read them before unleashing their retarded wisdom on the Slashdot masses
But yeah i agree with the article microsoft sucks!
This is a little off topic, but why do car makers think just because they put out an electric or hybrid car they can make it look ugly as ass...
For example the new Honda hybrid...Why try and make it look all futuristic when it comes out just plain ugly. My friends and I boggle our minds trying to figure out why Honda doesn't convert an Accord or even a Civic over to the hybrid engine. The words out of everyones mouth i talk to about the hybrid car are the same..."It's so damn ugly."
The hybrid cars aren't the only ones that look just awful, IMHO the new Ford Focus and Toyota Echo are both UGLY. They are designed to be low cost but give me a break... Just keep it nice and simple like a Civic, or even a Metro, why try and make things look all futuristic.
It almost seems like they have contemporary artists designing cars now instead of engineers.

I never got blisters from nintendo, but I had 4 calluses (spl?-im an idiot) on my left thumb, one in each direction of the control pad. Now that I think about it, that was directly from playing NHL 94 on sega genesis... I still have 4 little dots on my thumb from it, at one point they all stuck out like 1/16th of an inch...pretty gross...
but I guess 4 little calluses are better than the CTS i'm giving myself now...
I don't recall exactly when I saw this, around 1995/1996, but accessing the internet in some countries is/was punishable by death.
I remember specificlly many African countries and in Singapore it was punishable by death to be on the net.
I know this is not longer the truth in singapore but it may still be in some countries, i'd love to hear about it if anyone else knows anything about this.
Oh yeah, the info was in a wired article...
please reply if you know anything else on the topic...

I find it hilarious that it took such a long time to brute-force the crypto on the Jaguar than it did to make DeCSS... It's great when a half-decade old failiure of a console system is more secure than the "Future of Home Movies"...
So that's the son-of-a-bitch that invented Clippy... Only when pitched his name was El Hungry Clippo, the spelling-error eating robot.
Story in The Independent is also a good read.
