Pharmaceuticals would still be in clinical trials when their patents would expire. How about we just focus on getting rid of bad patents that don't bring knowledge or insight to society?
Perhaps IE users just reboot their computer after a crash instead of trying to figure out why. According to Google itself, its users ask why it crashes more
I love all of the side effects placebos cause in clinical studies. It would be great to see patient's feedback asking that a sugar pill quit giving them horrible diarrhea.
I think he meant "The prototype drug won't work".
Sadely(sic) making a new drug (that isn't just a generic copy of another) is like coding a new software with java while you only know C#
I think you mean is like coding assembly for a new architecture from an existing assembly program.
When I was as a part time system admin, I thought this would be wonderful. I would gladly let the NSA, etc secure my professor's public facing webserver in exchange for the government to use my server when they needed.
Google Wallet doesn't need to have a static number like a credit card does.
Just imagine if they changed the number transmitted hourly? Then they could detect exactly where the sniffers are located.
They tried to innovate instead of imitate. Microsoft is amazing at imitation: word, excel, powerpoint, X-Box, C#, Windows, etc. When Microsoft imitates, they are second to none. What happens when they innovate, they end up with Vista, instead of copying OS X with 7.
My all-time favorite creations are the Zune and Clippy.
'Swimming pools can be dangerous for children. To protect them, one can install locks... [or] teach them to swim.'
I'm tired & slow today... someone please explain this analogy with respect to internet porn (which is the context from which the quote was taken). The possibilities seem endless.
The analogy is good, because once you learn how to swim, you can never drown.
HIV mutates very frequently, so it's difficult to design an siRNA reagent to target it effectively. Another hurdle is delivering the siRNA to the infected T cells.
This is a bit dated, Sirna was acquired by Merck for this kind of technology over 2 years ago. Alnylam is yet another large player in this game.
Arthritis is a bit more difficult due to delivery issues and known pathways
And this has been proven in a court of law? Or is based on the hunch of some intelligence analyst who is contracted through a corporation to provide support to the DoD?
No this is done based on the information provided by Curveball, Knuckball and Slider. They have to be straight shooters, no?
The spam feature was great when I needed a quote to ship a car across the country. I got the quote, but didn't need the service. I told them the company that, in a week they called me back asking if I needed it. They immediately went on my spam list.
Google voice is awesome... free texting, I can mark incoming calls as spam, you can listen to a voicemail while it's being recorded and can actually pick up the call.

The question is how easily will the ZeuS botnet be hijacked by someone else?

Microsoft dropped three times the value of Facebook for Skype... that shows:
1.) they have the money to waste
2.) they enjoy wasting money
or slashdot / blog presenting bad evidence in order to get more views?
Groupon is still marked as important for my gmail account.

I didn't see antitrust concerns in the article you posted. Perhaps you meant a different one?
It just reaffirms the parent post.
1) Hire them to spy on a friend
2) Tell friend they're spying on him
3) Friend sues them

Then you're losing formating... it's like speaking monotonously at a job interview.

Could all of Microsoft's software patents be lost with Bilski? Then there wouldn't be any possibility for infringement.

Christianity, like the other desert superstitions, seeks to control and ration sex
Oh, I thought marriage was designed to ration sex...

Until they start putting all coins through a high power magnet.
Perhaps we can start to use our spy-rectums...
D'oh and all this time I thought that Les Miserables was a fictional work... now I'll have to rethink Quasimoto was treated.
I'm sad that the babysh*t brown color will go away!!!

What if you date someone who doesn't get a hint?
That hasn't happened to me but I'm now prepared.

Beer is very good and healthy drink. I've never heard of anyone drinking it from wine glasses.
You should come by my place when I need to wash the dishes, I have even been known to drink beer from a bowl ;-)
