What about the upcoming 7.8 update? WinPhone7 isn't abandoned. At worst, it'll be deprecated once WinPhone8 hits the market. Kind of like how XP and Vista are deprecated in favour of Win7.
Let's face it, there are three things keeping Microsoft's OS in business: the Office ecosystem, games and 'IT' qualifications that teach people how to use Office and nothing else.
That only works if the merger is indicating his/her intentions. Unfortunately, a lot of drivers don't know what the orange lights are for, let alone how to use them properly.
In English, capital letters have a grammatical function. They identify proper nouns, which cannot be confused with verbs. No matter how you spin it, capitalising 'Jack' makes it 100% certain that Jack is a person, not an action.
In the sense that luminiferous aether failed to adequately describe physical phenomena, then yes it was a failure of science. However, it can also be viewed that that failure helped spur scientists on to discover quantum electrodynamics. Which means it wasn't a failure.
That's the beauty of science - if a theory is proved wrong, it's no big deal - a new theory is created to pick up the pieces.
So the ribbon in Office 2013 is a zombie ribbon?
too many things you can't do in Win7 or have been buried (like repairing the connection when you're not connected
Right-click network icon in systray > Troubleshoot problems. I can see why you need a degree in particle physics to understand that.
Inb4 pedant: I know it's actually the Notification Area.
Where was the complaining? If anything, the GP was praising devs who specifically test against Wine.
Sounds like the father got a great deal there :)
Even simply games like VVVVVV - you try running the .exe directly, see how far that gets you.
Quite far if you got it in a Humble Bundle.

Or joking.

Depending on how you define 'moon', there's at least four or five orbiting Earth.

Note: I'm speaking from experiences in the UK.
A moon is a satellite of a planet. Note that this is different to the Moon (note the capital). So Titan is a moon, but not the Moon.
Nothing beats the old BBC Micro or C64 - cold to usable in under three seconds :)
Baked or green?
Maybe they secretly want to be German... :)

The commas aren't strictly necessary - capitalisation is sufficient to convey meaning in that example.
Similarly, I make an effort to write clearly and use decent grammer.
Oh, the irony...
You must go to the Alanis Morrisette School of Irony.
No, as inertia is resistance to changes in movement. With no inertia, there's no resistance, so movement changes can be achieved with minimal force.
Then you must get in contact with NIST as soon as possible, so they can correct their mistake: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Si_units#Units_and_prefixes.
10^-25kg. 28 orders of magnitude less massive than the average human.
Except that's not cancelling gravity - it's still acting on those objects.

Isn't red-shift the result of relative velocities, not energy loss? (Which removes the mystery of where it goes)
