That was just about as stupid a move as a person can make in business. It's likely to have killed any hope they had of success. Denis Grisak might or might not be decent at technical matters, but he should never have any interaction with customers, and probable should not be included in business decisions.

This is about investment banking, not the retail banking most of us use. You remember investment banks, don't you? The ones that were too big to fail a few years ago after branching out into areas with little or no regulation?
That should have been done years ago. It's stupid to keep something unique, important, and easily duplicated in a single country.

The increase in temperature we've experienced so far is minimal when you look at it in terms of geographic latitude. In other words, the climate is a few degrees warmer when you go south a couple hundred miles. This doesn't prevent forest fires in British Columbia or cause them in New Mexico.
El Nino has made much more difference lately.

Global warming is affecting the ocean and waves and that affects the islands, but the islands were definitely not submerged. They were eroded, which can occur for a lot of reasons.
It's kind of funny that one of the islands rose by 60 cm because of an earthquake.
I see the opposite. Maybe people tend to become more moderate, with less "fire in the belly" as they get older. Whether that's socially more liberal or conservative depends on where they started.
