  3. Is Antiqua independant? Is it a WTO signatory? on Antigua May Be Allowed To Violate US Copyrights · · Score: 1

If it is independent, or not a signatory, how can they be accused of "breaking the law"? If a signatory, yet still independent, then they might be guilty of a treaty violation, but again, not of breaking the law.

I thought that the 800 lb gorilla in the field. . .was an 800 lb gorilla? With about 500 words vocabulary. Seriously, though this is an area geeks ought to work on. Another case are stroke survivors with the inability to speak, poor hand coordination, but still "all there"

  6. you only say that because you assume it as basic on German Physicists Claim Speed of Light Broken · · Score: 1

We know that the speed of light is variable. It can be reduced to feet per second. We know that quantum tunneling happens in semiconductors, like the ones I'm using right now (and so are you). The Germans extended the range of quantum tunneling to 3 feet. We know that x-rays travel faster than the speed of light in water, producing cerenkov radiation. We have known since Alcubierre published in 1993, that warp drive is possible, "violating" the speed of light, but not in such a way that GR or SR (I forget which) is violated. Physicists in the zeitgeist of the times needed an absolute, having rejected the concept of an absolute reference frame for philosophical reasons, and Einstein latched upon light. Lightspeed is an arbitrary absolute.

  7. Not good on NASA Decides No Fix Needed for Endeavor's Tiles · · Score: 1

The damage is such that it may well destroy the spacecraft. Plasma will get into the airframe and wheel well, and not so far from the APCs, which potentially could explode. Previous protocol required that the crew return by Russian capsule and leave the shuttle docked to Fred. NASA doesn't have a good record on making non-political decisions regarding shuttle safety. They ought to at least give the crew options on return method.

  8. FBI Files and VAAPCON on DHS To Share Spy Satellite Data Over the US · · Score: 1

The Democrats did this the last time they held power (and she-who-must-not-be-named is running for a third term) without the 'structure' in place to authorize such things as taking the FBI files on all leading Republicans and using them for blackmail, etc., spying on all pro-life Christians, including the Cardinal of New York, not to mention the Waco pogrom, etc., Imagine what they'll do with -this-.

  10. Yes, to inform idiots like you on Bone Hormone Linked to Obesity and Diabetes · · Score: 1

There are over 2 dozen non-overeating causes known for obesity, yet bigots like yourself continue to spout your bile. It has been shown that obesity is one of the last acceptable prejudices, because it allows the well-off to look down on the poor who cannot afford gym memberships and healthy food, but have to eat the much cheaper starches, which creates insulin resistance.

  11. Re:Caffeine - incorrect, people drank beer, not wa on New Explanation For the Industrial Revolution · · Score: 1

People drank beer, not water. No one was stupid enough to drink water in the cities. There are tracts from the periods from Christian pastors explaining how to brew beer as a healthy family drink alternative to gin.

  12. Otherwise known as the Wesleyan Revivals on New Explanation For the Industrial Revolution · · Score: 1
