    Getting used to Win 7 is a little tough at first, but after you make the transition, it is amazing how much nicer it is to work with than XP. The single most obvious user facing thing is drivers. You plug something in, it works. No user interaction required at all.

    Was this an obvious invention/solution? No That is part of where the question comes in. All the tech used was already invented and known about. Of the three key pieces, OFDM was in papers from the 50s, interleaving in the 60s, and forward error correction in the late 60s. There was even a modem made on these principles sold to the US military 20 years earlier.

    In reference to airline tickets, there really isn't any commission to talk about, for travel agents anyways. The thing with them is the extras; hotel rooms, cruises, all-inclusives, etc. It is a matter of building a relationship with you. Usually if a travel agent is finding a cheaper deal on an airline ticket it is using an odd fare class. Source: Grandmother owns a travel agency.

    I think Microsoft still gives a bunch of free licenses for NGOs for Windows and maybe Office. Consider looking into it, as it will help you avoid a training budget.

    You're entirely correct, but the Facebook reference isn't a good one for the simple reason that the Blizzard Real ID is pretty clearly marked and turning the whole thing off it is literally a single radio button. As compared to Facebook's labyrinth of menus to go through to figure it out.

    You can turn it off 100% now with this change. Go to the same page the article mentions to change the settings and you can just turn it off.

    Not blaming the OS at all. However, it is a reality and a fact. It is should that should be considered when choosing an OS. How often do we hear here on Slashdot "Well, I'd use Linux, but I play games and don't want to dual boot"

    California Penal Code 484 defines theft, in part, as taking another person's labor fraudulently. He did not pay the game company for their labor.

    A concealed permit is for carrying a concealed weapon. If whatever country/state he is in does not allow people to carry loaded weapons openly, he's committed a crime and will be losing his CCW.

    Sony has also repeatedly said they are working for a 10 year console life. They don't need to replace it yet.

    Scientific researchers don't update their software to play games on it. Also, Sony has said they will be selling a version without the ability to play games for users such as this. Please think before you post.
