    Exactly. They have 15.2%, let's say linux has the princely sum of 5%, so Windows is stuck with a mere 79.8%.

    I don't think we need to stop paying the taxes, just limit it until all states pay their fair share. It's actually a fairly conservative stance that I'm sure those Red States will be very glad to join in and start paying their fair share of the tax load.

    Well, newest chart I could find is http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/22685.html It shows that California (in 2005) paid $289b and received back $242b. $40billion clears up the deficit by more than double, I believe.

    Bigger problem is that the people making real money are Chinese, so this won't affect regular people unless they set it up and screw everyone who plays MMOs

    California could return immediatly to surpluses if it stopped paying for poor states. For every dollar a Californian pays in taxes (to the federal government), they get 80 cents back. Random states like Alaska (2.40 back per dollar), Mississippi (1.45 per dollar) and such get to be welfare.

    $18 a year times... let's call it 15 million TVs in California (probably extremely conservative) is $270m a year less electricity being produced. How much wattage and carbon not being put into the year does that translate out to? Probably quite a bit.

    The entire EA library (the sports side, anyways) has sold better on the PS3. Smaller library shouldn't produce something like that.

    Same thing with the EA numbers. All their sports games sold better on the PS3 than the 360. It seems backwards.

    Most of them likely have unlimited texting. If they did the math it comes out to be a fortune (runs me 3-4 cents per text, on average), but most won't.

    It's not the salary that's the problem. It's the benefits and the long-term costs from retired employees. It's essentially a microcosm of Social Security, and it's workers per retiree is dropping even quicker. It has to change. And $28 an hour relatively low for uneducated labor, MAYBE skilled labor? No way.

    The union contracts are the single biggest anchor on the Big Three. They need to fail, go into bankruptcy court, divest those contracts and start from scratch. Only chance.

    Everything out right now has been defeated. Last boss at the moment is Malygos (one of the Aspects).

    Umm.. There's been 2 expansions. The first increased the size of the world by about 40%, this one increased the size by 25% or so (of that bigger area). There was HUGE amounts of new content. Go whine about Everquest if you want to whine about "pay for crap" extortion.

    It wouldn't be fast at all. Linux is mostly useless for the average person. There is no short-term advantage in switching to it for anything the size of a government.

    That's a European only thing. In the US (the largest video game market), the Pro is still $50 more than the Wii. Microsoft is trying to steal some market share by cutting all their profit out of Europe.

    The 360 in its simplest form is missing quite a bit of capability. Notably, Live Arcade and such is mostly useless without a hard drive. PS3 is the most robust system, but costs so much and has so few games it is hard to sell. Wii is kind of perfect, even with the large quantity of shovelware crap 3rd parties are putting out.
