But with all the problems, IE is way better than Netscape (from my personal experience).
You can say that again. IE also makes it a lot easier to make web pages do what you want them to when you're making them. I, usually, can get everything to look right in IE on the first try, but it sometimes takes me hours to get Netscape to make it look even half good.
I believe they are for dreamcast, because that is what the game shows.. uhm ok. Some guy took a camcorder into a DC Final Fantasy closed doors deal and taped this little presentation, its awesome.
And I believe that you must be smoking SOMETHING;) FF9 will be for the first playstation. It has been in development for some time now (it was paralleling FF8's development for a while there). If I'm not mistaken, it will be released this March in Japan and this October in America.
As for 10 and 11, they were announced at Square Millenium for being on the PSX2. According to Square, they will both use the online capabilities of the PSX2. More info can be found here:

Ya know, though... there *ARE* still women who think that way too. And I think it's a good thing that there are. They're perfect for the people like the original poster.
Let those people take care of each other, and don't complain.
As for me, I'd rather be with the type of woman that you describe, but to each his own, 'ne?
I would *love* to see Molly in a movie. (for those who don't know... if Trinity were really a badass, she'd have permanent, Woverine-esque claws to go with the leather pants and bad attitude...)
I hate to get technical, here, but I've read Neuromancer about 7 times... and Molly didn't have spurs like Wolverine. What she had were little blades that slid out from underneath her fingernails, much like a cat's retractable claws.
IT's not about replacing the PC. Sony's much too evil for that. (quite frankly, Microsoft pales in comparison...)
Well, maybe. But the thing is... Sony's stuff WORKS... and it works WELL. Can't say much to that extent about MicroShaft.
Also, you're not FORCED... or at least PRESSURED to use all this Sony equipment. With Microsoft stuff... as stated MANY times, people feel that they have to run Windows in order to be compatible with everyone else...
The fact is that by its nature Linux is more easy to screw up than windows, and so there will be more support needed.
Well, I hate to say this... correct me if I'm wrong... but usually the only people who use tech support are the people who are incompetent in the first place.
It is *very* likely that people who will buy the comp's with linux on them will have a good idea of what they're doing, and therefore have almost no need for the support.
well.. i have a feeling no one will see this, as it is a (relatively) old story... but here goes anyways
How about instead of giving moderators a certain amount of points to do as they please with, they give them a certain amount to moderate UP with, and a certain amount to moderate DOWN with. This would ensure that the trolls get put in their place, and also the the good posts get put in theirs.
For some reason, I think that the media would love to get their hands on what's really going on, no matter who it was... (assuming that they were experienced in that field).
Perhaps they're just being the MPAA's bitches in exchange for a little compensation.
If one visits the sites in question, one will see enticements to "break encryption and copy a DVD onto your hard drive. Decrypt movies and let them be played off your hard drive or off DVD-R [recordable] if you have a burner [recording device]." Pretty blatant stuff. The intent of these Web sites is clear. Break the encryption. Steal the product.
What the hell is this? Just because someone is copying a DVD onto their hard drive or to a DVD-R (which we know, EVERYONE has lying around...) it's stealing it? Last time I checked, it was totally legal and allright to make copies of the stuff, so long as you don't distribute it...
I'm surprised that they let something like this out... I mean, why the heck would the government TELL us that an intelligence computer crashed?
Brilliant PR strategy, guys.

I think what Arno was getting at was that there would be a company like SETI@Home that would have computers connected to it and processing information for it... then the COMPANY would get paid for all the work that it did by anyone who needed all that processing power. This money, in turn, would go toward a charity/good cause.
Since when? DOS used to be the only way that I'd use the computer... I refused to run Windows if I could do the same thing in DOS. Why? Well, for one thing.. my machine wasn't exactly top of the line, and DOS took up WAY less resources than Windows. This pretty much made everything that ran in DOS blazingly fast compared to it's Windows counterpart.
Once you know DOS, it's so much easier and faster to get around your comp as well.
who needs "innovative, flashy looks" when a nice text-prompt will work just fine?
Ah, yes... this reminds me of my many years of using DOS. When it all comes down to it, I can get things done way faster using DOS than I can with Windows. (Yeah, I use Windows, so sue me.)
This is kind of like writing a paper about a book. If the target audience already knows the story inside and out, then you can omit a plot summary in the paper.
I have a feeling that these programmers automatically assume that the people that are going to use the program already know what they're doing, and don't need any assistance in their activities.
DOH... and I just bought 8 of the VHSs =(

If I were rich and wanted a european sports sedan (sold in America) I'd consider the Audi S4 or Mercedes-Benz E55 before any BMW.
But what about an American sports sedan? Viva Lincoln LS! Gotta love luxury sports cars...

Well, that all depends on what part of Ford we're talking about here.
See... if I worked at a Lincoln plant, I wouldn't mind a nice new Lincoln LS. That is the most beautiful car I've ever seen... <g>
