    my point being that if I use a cell to send data to someone I am at the mercy of the provider (who has licensed it from the government). While if I use Wi-Fi, I pay no one and live with the interference.

    They seem like their differnent ways of doing similar things....

    Cell phones use licensed spectrum, controlled by companies.
    So sure let's drop 802.11a/b/g in favour of the cell phone spectrum.
    Just don't complain when your paying usage fees to send a file wirelessly to your buddy sitting across the room, because you subscribe to different providers.

    AFAIK, usb 2.0 devices are *ALWAYS* 1.1 compatiable.
    meaning you can plug the device into a 1.1 port, and have it work. Just not as quick as the real 2.0
    1.0, however is not compatiable.

    averaged about 1100KB down (that's kilobytes, not bits)
    the uploads seem to be bouncing between 450 and 1500 .
    putting that 100mb co-location to use :)

    excerised their power? If you mean it was done so by checking A instead of B, then yes. But is there *that* much of a difference of opnion between democrats and republicans?

    I wouldn't say there's serious problems with liberty in Canada. Unlike the US there is no constitutional mistrust of the government (i.e. the right to bare arms). The ability to limit speech by the government, given to it by the people. The people have the power to effect change in the government, as we have representation from both the left (NDP) and right (PC, The alliance is just short of a SIG).
    Given the US and Canadian systems to choose from, I'll gladly take the Canadian one, eh?

    I don't think x86 makes sense quite yet.
    Their still dragging developers and users kicking and screaming into OS X. Having to support x86 and PowerPC would be BAD.
    You'd need Photoshop, [insert other mac app here], etc. ported to x86, and PowerPC....

    Reagardless of what you think of the war, and how it's "Freeing a people", it's still illegal.
    The justification for the war was the potential use of WMD against the US, which is turning out to be BS. And further to that, There was no iminent threat from Iraq (i.e. they had no possible way to bring direct harm to the US).

    Sure they don't target the civilians, but who gave them permission to start accidentially bombing them?
    Who gave them the authority to decide who dies? No one.

    The Bush administration has an almost blank cheque to use what ever force it deems neccesary to "thwart terrorists" around the world.
    They now publicly do what what they did secretly in the past (Overthrow regiemes that are hostile to the US/US interests).

    Fine they got rid of a very bad man, but where's the rest of the list? How can they now justify not deposing other leaders/regiemes. How about stopping genocide, should they not be doing that??

    Oh wait, right. Iraq's has the second largest oil deposits in the world (next to Saudi Arabia). Other countries that don't have the oil, don't get "liberated"???

    a very small percentage of families can afford to have one parent stay home nowadays....
