    No, some blocks of F-16s use GE F110 engines instead, which are more advanced. The only reason that some C-model F-16s use F100s is because some asshole senator decided it was more important for his district to get money than it was for DoD to save the cost of a second superfluous engine program.

    IME it's a huge pain in the ass to set up, especially for multiple accounts, unless you use an external program to talk to the IMAP server for you.

    It might not have helped that my work's server used a custom IMAP namespace either.

    I'd thought about picking up one of those Stellars, but I despise L-shaped Enter keys and the design compromises associated: either shrink down the Backspace key or move the backslash/pipe key. Well, that and the fact that I'd need an adapter to make it USB.

    Ron Paul's ideas are too batshit crazy to have survived the general. Did you notice that he never won any of the state primaries this year, even though the media actually paid attention to him this time (unlike '08)? People just don't care for him or his ideology.

    Really. I don't know how many times I've seen the "Lincoln was a Republican, so you black people should vote for us" canard pulled out, or the same but "and Democrats kept the black man down", even from people who should be smart enough to know better but like their politics as a team sport.

    We never used to see armadillos here in southwest Missouri, but around 7-10 years ago I started seeing dead ones on the highway.

    Global warming is why they're migrating north, no doubt.

    The wrapper thing is laughably easy to solve: Amazon would simply have to tell their suppliers that if they don't pack stuff in a standardized box they won't buy from them.

    Precisely this. The only Doom in Doom 3 (besides the name) was the setting and the hellspawn. When id reused the name they brought with it certain expectations that they failed to meet.

    That and the damned lighting. At least with Doom and Doom II you could cheat yourself up some light-amplification goggles so you could see things, but it seemed with 3 you had to install mods for this sort of thing.

    Oh, and I would have killed for a proper automap like in Doom (or preferably Descent, since it was proper 3D).

    They did. I read that back in the Wolf3D/Doom days that one of id's company jokes was the "$50,000 XCOPY"; they'd have another dev license the Wolf3D engine for $50k and then they'd xcopy the source onto a tape.

    Doom hit the scene in December '93 and the source was released in '97 - at first under the non-commercial id Software license, and a few years later it was dual-licensed with GPLv2 as well, so some of the older sourceports are closed-source.

    Basically so you can get sharper text, IIRC. Without explicit support the OS will 2x scale up what the browser displays instead, which works but is a bit blurry.

    The real trick is going to be extending that to lolcat GIFs (probably impossible unless the source image has tons of resolution) and making sure the page layout doesn't get buggered up (merely extremely difficult).

    That's what I've been reading, anyhow. My sources didn't specify if this would only be on OS X or also on other OSes which you might run on the same hardware.
