    Then what the FSCK am I running on my iMac at the moment? NeXTSTEP? Rhapsody? WHAT!??!?

    As for linux, hey my departemental samba file server runs fine on vapour. It is currently running in circles around our win2k server, and it's not even breaking a sweat (no, the digital equivalent op poking its nose). Yes, they are both running on the same type of hardware :)

    (yes this is meant in jest, and yes I do run Mac OS X PB on my G3 mac, and no, I don't like microsoft)

    Transmeta CPUs mimic/emulate/codemorph the x86 processor, so what are you talking about? A native Transmeta port? Anyway, if Linus should do this the code will fork. End of problem.

    Wrong. You mean when you make bzlilo or bzimage you compress the kernel with bzip2. This is not true. the 'b' in those two make targets stand for 'big' and normal gzip compression is used. The bigger kernel is just loaded a bit differently so it fits better. That is all...

    Please check your facts before you spout off in a random direction :)
