They have been trying very hard to support all the standards. Their browser has been a lot better than it has in the past. It's too bad this new rendering engine didn't work out. I guess with a Chromium base they won't need to worry about keeping it updated.
If people don't like the store on Windows, maybe the same is true of users of the Mac App store. The store worries my. I fear they are trying to force us to get our apps through their storefront like they do on iOS.
Is 10 years with a telephone that only does voice calls and text messages worth getting a new car? It's really nice being able to get directions, movie times, weather forecasts, spreadsheets, and the entirety of human knowledge on my telephone. I think it'd pick it over the new car. T9 was kind of cool, though.
I think they butterfly-switch keyboard might have saved 3mm, but it's still not worth it either way. The scissor-switch keyboard was perfect. My 10-year-old MacBook's scissor-switch keyboard still works great.
The USA switched to metric in 1975. It's taught to children across the nation. Is this not enough? Are you wanting to ban non-metric units? I don't think that's going to work out.
Yeah, this seems like a big burden for sites. The EU is has been coming up with lots of ideas for things they want sites to start censoring. Imo, if the EU wants censorship, they should either censor the content themselves or block the sites they don't like. Plenty of other nations have been able to censor the internet on their own (e.g. China, North Korea, Australia).
With local solar time, you could be on different sides of the city and have a 15-minute difference in times. On the bright side, maybe Flintstones sundial watches would become popular.
>Advertising and web-based services that were cookie-dependent are slowly being phased out of our mobile-first world, where more personalized data targeting is done without using cookies.
Don't mobile devices have cookie support? Or do mobile devices provide tracking features that are better than what cookies provided?
Bluetooth headphones are nice and freeing, except when latency matters or when the battery in my headphones need to be recharged. Fortunately I can still use dongles to solve that (at least until the Lightning port gets axed, which is looking more likely now that we have inductive charging.)
I think SSL is good technology, but the certificate authorities are a scam. I believe you can create your own certificates for free and without some third-party having access to the key and make money from selling it to you.
I'm considering upgrading from the 6+ that I got new 3.5 years ago to a two-year-old 6s+ with more storage than my current model. I think the inductive charging on the 8+ is cool, but that's not worth losing a headphone jack over.
I'm not a doctor, but I think a touchscreen-based keyboard could cause repetitive strain injuries. I think the springs in keyboards act as shock absorbers. Typing on an un-moving keyboard does not sound comfortable at all.
Yeah, I think I've been using dev tools edit cookies anyway. I don't know of any other way. I don't do it very often though. The shortcut key is Command-Option-I on the Mac version, btw.
One of my favorite graphics editors (Fireworks) was discontinued a few years ago. Open-source is something I'm looking for in my next editor so I don't have to worry about it being discontinued.

With the passage of this bill, henseforth it shall always be 4:20.

They will still be able to repair laptops that were placed in the water incorrectly.

The MacBook TouchBar has pretty good cooling with the motherboard wrapped around two fans.
So are Linux graphics drivers completely open-source?
Did the bridge crack after being assembled? Were the prefabricated parts already cracked when they arrived on site?

6am would be 2.5 in decimal,
noon would be 5.0,
6pm would be 7.5,
and midnight would be 0 or 10.
I think 30 minutes (half an hour) in normal time would be 20.8 minutes (0.208 hours) of decimal time.
An hour of decimal time would be 2.4 hours of normal time.

Without daylight savings time we would get sunrise at 4:45 am in some places in June.
Even though it's still using cookies, the data is linked to a user account instead of to a randomized cookie identifier.

I'm guessing they're blocking ads? Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere that I overlooked.

I'd be interested to see what exploits it could find in other games.

I hate phone calls. I hope Apple has the courage to phase out that feature. If Apple dies it, the rest will follow.
