I wouldn't be recommending a Harbor Freight welder unless you are willing to do some of your own repairs on the welder. I needed a spot welder and bought one from harbor freight and it has been some what problematic. It worked out of the box but after a few uses needed to have the switch replaced and some of the internal connections weren't as solid as they should have been and needed to be redone. After that experience I decided that when I bought a wire feed welder I would do some more research and Harbor Freight ones rank pretty near the bottom in reviews. Granted instead of spending $99-$150 for a cheep one from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool I ended up spending $250 for a Hobart one as it was the least expensive good wire feed. I have probably close to 80 hours of usage (duty cycle of about 20% as I am not a very fast or good welder yet) and it has been trouble free operation. You do get what you pay for when it comes to tools. Also I did find out that there are basically 2 camps for welders, Lincoln and Miller and both believe that theirs is the best and the other is crap much like the Ford and Chevy guys now if you aren't an iron worker by traded then it really doesn't matter as both companies make a quality product (Hobart is Miller machine just painted differently)
I have never shattered a platter (Maybe I just haven't shot the right kind of drive) but my M91/30 makes some big exit holes with the 203gr. soft points I use. Great inexpensive gun that has taken some nice game and won me a number of bets.
Or like my wife's grandmother and grandfather believe that President Obama is a closet Muslim terrorist, yes they really do believe this. Previously they had voted down the democratic party ticket since they became US citizens (being ethnic Jews they fled Hungary before WWII) but because he is brown and has a funny name they believe any rumor about him. As far a complaining about President Obama there are those on the far left who think he is too moderate, but keep in mind that those one the far right run around claiming that he is a socialist. Personally I think that those on the far left are correct that President Obama is much more moderate than Candidate Obama. If one were to look at what Obama has done he is much more like the most recent President Bush than the socialist monster that the right portrays him to be, especially on the foreign policy, domestic security, and economic issues side of things.
UW Stout is basically a joke in the UW system with the unofficial motto of "If in doubt go to Stout". It is basically a party school filled with lily white people from the twin cities suburbs. So to me its not a surprise that the campus security there would take down the poster and make a big issue about it, especially if there weren't any parties on campus that night that needed breaking up since they would have plenty of time.
Ok so you claim the cable company is a private entity with their own private network. Why the hell aren't they paying me for having their equipment on my property and why then as a private property owner am I legally prevented from going out and renting a ditch witch and digging up all of their equipment on my property and selling it as scrap since obviously they have abandoned it. They seem to get an awful lot of government granted benefits, but unlike the power or gas company they are not a regulated monopoly. Those companies also have equipment on my property that is legally protected but they have various government regulations. If the various ISPs want to be treated as private networks then we should revoke their right of ways and force them to negotiate a lease with every land owner who's land their lines cross and they also can't have any equipment on public land. Then it really would be a private network and they could go do what ever they wanted.
This is true, unfortunately there is another highly reactive oxidizer very high up in the atmosphere that any escaping hydrogen will react with so I wouldn't be too worried about it leaving the planet entirely, but we might have other problems.
Any hunting rifle rounds will put nice holes through the drive and shatter glass platters. I am not sure about 22LR as I don't own one, but I do know that a 20 gauge slug will not go all the way through the case, platters and cover, but will make a massive dent. A 12 gauge slug will however make a massive hole and send pieces flying. Personally I like to disassemble the drives and then use the platters as targets as the magnets are very useful. Once the platters resemble baby swiss cheese they go off to be recycled with the rest of my aluminum.
I prefer an SKS with a couple of 30 round mags and some cheap Chinese surplus ammo. That ammo is really poor quality and is really only good for spray and pray. Although semi-auto is fun. My uncle like using his Glock 27 when we do this, and I do get a fair amount of satisfaction of using my granfather's old Remington 11-48 filled with rifled slugs (this makes some massive holes) even if it kicks a whole lot more than the SKS does and costs a bunch more.
I love those rare earth magnets and recycle them into automotive usages in the transmission and oil pans of vehicles, as well as using them as fridge magnets. The platters get taken up north and used as targets and when sufficiently full of holes (lots of pop cans suffer this same fate) recycled with the aluminum cases. The circuit boards go off to the Dakota county hazardous waste disposal site.
Most of those screws aren't high tensile screws so even if you only have a slotted screw driver you can still just brute force and ignorance it open. Granted a proper set of warranty voiding screw bits is faster, but you don't need them.
Usually you have to ask for it as a lot of them don't keep it out on the shelves any more. Sometimes they ask what you are doing so just tell them you are cleaning concrete or using it to balance the ph in you pool as these are the 2 most common uses.
It is pretty easy to melt hard drive platters with a regular propane brazing torch. Aluminum melts at around 660C and I have done this to a number of drives without problem. If you don't think that propane provides enough heat then you can jump up to MAPP gas as that works with the same torch so all you have to do is change cans.
The UV will tend to fade the color and can damage things like paper, but paper does slowly oxidize and become very brittle when exposed to the open air. I have had some paper that was left open to the air and regular moisture variations for many years (comics stuck to the refrigerator) and it does break down and yellow. Grated this is with newsprint but at the same time I have a pristine copy of the St. Paul paper that my grandfather purchased and then had wrapped in plastic on the day of the mood landing and it looks like brand new, it hasn't even been unfolded. One of these days I will get around to getting it framed and behind glass for the added protection
Also, print out the pictures and get your wife to take up scrapbooking.
This is good advice especially since you don't have to do it. There are even scrapbooking events that your wife can go to (mine does and it gives her a break) and socialize with other scrapbookers. The scrapbooking supplies are all archival quality and are made of the same stuff that has been used in the coin, stamp, currency, and card collecting world for years for protecting those items so they actually work.
Also when keeping film or printed pictured you want to store them in a place where they won't be exposed to moisture or the air (sealed container). I have seen some wonderful old pictures that were over 100 years old in my family that weren't exposed air or moisture because they were in the middle of a book and they look great, yet some pictures of me from when I was younger (pictures with Santa at the mall that my mom still puts out almost 30 years later) that have been exposed to the air are in pretty bad shape and are starting to disintegrate. The same thing goes for any paper like medium if you keep it from exposure to air and moisture it will last a very long time (I have some US fractional paper currency and those are about 150 years old)
Have you tried getting their accounts frozen. If you have a legal judgment against them they have a certain time to pay (usually something like 30 to 90 days) and if they don't then you can get them found in contempt of court. Once that is done it is pretty easy to have their accounts frozen. I had to threaten this with and insurance company that owed me money and didn't want to pay even thought I had a legal judgment.
I take it you have never erroneously received a collections call because some one previously had your number, gave a false number, or entered the wrong number. A few years ago I got daily calls for a couple of months from a number of collection agencies (this was shortly after my wife and I had moved into our home) requesting payment even though they had the wrong person. It got to the point that I started recording the calls (they all began with the warning that the call may be recorded) along with the date and time and who was calling and demanded that they never call this number again because they have the wrong person. Some did stop calling but the others I went and took to small claims court and presented my evidence and got my $500 per incident (One company kept on calling and I got $2500 from them) from them and was left alone.
I do like to mess with the auto warranty people since all of my vehicles that run are very high mileage (the lowest mileage is a 97 BMW with 222,000 on it) and since I recently bought a used vehicle (96 Jeep Cherokee with 368,xxx on it) it is starting again. They always claim that I can get a warranty but when I tell them the age and mileage of all my vehicles they immediately say I can't. The funniest was shortly after I bought my project car a 68 MG Midget they tried to offer me a warranty on that one, it only had 55,000 on it but needed massive repairs, hence a project car for puttering with. I am pretty sure the vehicle warranty people get the public records of who bought a vehicle and start calling them.
My credit card company likes to offer me a $45 a year plan to absolve me of any fraudulent charges that might get charged to my account. I like to inform them that it sounds like a good deal if I plan on having more than $50 of fraudulent charges each year for the next 10 years as I am only legally responsible for $50. After a few times of telling them this they stopped calling.
So lets say that only the individual mandate part gets struck down but everything else is left intact. Now what would a reasonable person do. It now would make financial sense for me to drop my current insurance save that money and then when I get sick go and buy insurance to cover my expenses while I am ill. Once better I will be dropping my coverage like a bad habit. Now do you think this will make insurance more or less expensive? Also they only time it starts to make sense to carry continuous insurance is if you are someone who is likely to need medical attention, so for me at present I wouldn't carry it but my mother who is overweight, diabetic, smokes, and in general has a laundry list of problems (her own doing) it would make sense to carry insurance. I only see my doctor once a year for my annual physical and that would only cost me $50 out of pocket if I didn't have insurance, now instead it costs $15. My kids on the other hand would cost an arm and leg with all the check-ups and vaccinations.
Personally I think the affordable care act is garbage and probably should be thrown out as unconstitutional (it is going to be argued on the interstate commerce clause BS which I hate since I can't buy health insurance from an out of state provider so it is intrastate commerce), and even though I wouldn't have supported it during the debate a single payer system instituted as a tax on everyone with benefits would have at least been constitutional. This is the debate we should have had.

I usually only find 2 strong ones. Sometimes if I am lucky I find 4 strong ones but they are much smaller than the ones with only 2.
I have never shattered a platter (Maybe I just haven't shot the right kind of drive) but my M91/30 makes some big exit holes with the 203gr. soft points I use. Great inexpensive gun that has taken some nice game and won me a number of bets.

So this sounds just like my oldest (3 years) he is always dragging his fingers across the walls. I guess kids never really change.
This is true, unfortunately there is another highly reactive oxidizer very high up in the atmosphere that any escaping hydrogen will react with so I wouldn't be too worried about it leaving the planet entirely, but we might have other problems.
More like just pry it open the screws will break pretty easily.
Mosin-Nagant, SVT-40, Dragunov, or ROMAK-3?

You must be a pretty bad shot if you can reuse them, or are you using like a #9 dove load?

Now that would be a quality solution, I think I know what I am doing tonight.
