This is the government...they will probably store all the information in the same table. It will prob say John Doe, DNA Code, Eye Data, Face Data, Address, Shoe Size, Penis Size, STDs. So it will be easy to fix. Also trying to prove one is wrong in a criminal trial is going to be hard. The jury is going to hear the words "Eye Scans do not lie" and convict no matter what. Also proving one of the forms of ID is wrong is only good if you have the other forms to prove your innocent. If you only have one you are SOL.

Why do they need our Eye Scan Data? I do not leave my iris information at a crime scene. I do however leave my DNA and fingerprints. So what happens when the FBI DB gets hacked and some serial killer changes his Eye Scan with mine. The FBI has no way of knowing who is who. I know some of you may say that the FBI will also have pictures of me and witnesses etc. but it use to be that DNA was not trusted very much and now a person can be put away on DNA evidence alone, so it is all too soon till a person can be put a way or arrested just because their eye scan says they are someone they are not.

So if it is truly needed and they won't use it why are you still there? If they are a company that has been around since 1983 without version control that makes me wonder how critical your product is to their success. We sell this software for 20-40 million a pop. The company is just managed piss poorly but yet still people purchase the product and take it up the ass from my company. Got to love corporate America.

I had a select handful of teachers at the university that I went to who actually taught the students. Too many of the other teachers were concerned about their grants or their book sales to care about an undergrad class. I swear I learned more from an underpaid teacher at a local community college then I ever did from a teacher with tenure at a 4 year university. They need to change the universities so teachers are required to teach and grants and whatnot for research is an afterthought. But yes I know that will never happen because a university is a business :(

On another note, if you don't like the amnesty bill write your congressman or senator. Calling people a jackass on slashdot wont get the bill changed. That is like bitching to the bum on the street because you lost your keys. I agree I have not seen anything talking about US citizen to US citizen calls. For example if I were to call my mother in Boston from New York. As for the US government spying on a call from the US to Afghanistan...well I think that is fair game because that call would be on other countries networks also, for example, Briton, Germany, Turkey, Iran, and then Afghanistan. So you have no guarantee at all that none of those countries would not be listening in also.

Netflix is basically taking away a free account. Netflix is not taking away a free account. If you had a 3 movie out account you are still paying for the 3 move out account. It just let you have two queues. So now you just have to manage your own queue rather then have netflix have software manage the other queue.
  18. Re:Yes, I received the same notice. on Netflix To Eliminate Profiles Feature · · Score: 0

It is not that hard to have more then one person use the same queue. Just tell the rest of your family when they put their old movie back in the mail box to log in and select their next movie and put it at the front of the queue. So the movie the person wants is always at the front of the queue. If the movie they want is in you should have no problem. :)

Amen. It was a slap in the face when mythic made crafting easier and let everyone craft everything on the same character. It just said to the hardcore players who started playing in the beginning that we do not care about you anymore. Atlantis... well i have mixed feelings on that. It went from very hard and needing large groups to complete to needing only a 4-8 man group, or just RvRing the whole thing.

I must say Mytic did pvp correctly in DAoC for the most part. None of this guild v guild crap or mini games. They let anyone join at any time. No waiting in line. Somethings they did do wrong though, for example hooking Realm points (bounty points) to the pve world via artifacts. I would love for a game to mimic DAoC's style of RvR I think they did it right. However this is my opinion so people have the right to disagree. It all depends what games you have played in the past.

You are talking about a 3rd world country who may not have been brought up on the amount of technology as many people in the west have been brought up on. You think parents of kids today are clueless of internet dangers. Think about the people in some 3rd world countries. So think of it like this, someone gives a poor person 100 million dollars but says you have to not touch the money and pay attention to a boring class all day. I think you would tell the teacher to F off and you would take your 100 million dollars. That is what it is like to these kids. They have probably never had a piece of technology of their very own (besides a radio or something similar). So yes a computer in the hands of an uneducated student with parents who do not know what their kids are getting into online or in the classroom will not help kids in these countries.
