    Many do. Almost no race bikes or race cars have a speedometer.

    Almost none of the very serious purpose-built ones (although it's becoming less uncommon on more recently-built vehicles). Most of the vehicles actually going around a track, which are production-based, do.

    And all tracks will black flag you for running a timer to check y our lap times.

    For open track/HPDE that's true, but that's not really racing is it.

    It's worse, sex offenders who people should actually be wary of can claim they're only on the list because of these minor offenses. I once read a post on Slashdot about a new neighbor who came over to say that he was a sex offender but that it was just because he got caught urinating in public. Dude looked it up and the new neighbor had actually molested a child 8-(

    To make it not-work on the road, you need a database of the coordinates of all the tracks in the world. If this were a few years ago I'd sure as hell expect that from a non-free app.

    Hahaha it goes back waaaay further than that. There were apps like this for PalmOS devices. And of course even before that, there were the specialized data logging computers that did the same thing.

    But most jobs that ask for a degree already don't actually require it in practice. It's a way for HR to measure your dedication, and personally I suspect, level of financial independence (saddled with student debt = reliable employee).

    I hope me.ga gets launched, under whatever URL. It uses full, proper, user-controlled end-to-end encryption, it will be very hard to hold the host responsible for content on this one.

    Went to polling station, black panthers were blockading the entrance, then the UN blue hats showed up and scared them off, that was nice but then they were watching us right near the booths...kinda makes you feel uncomfortable. On the way out I peeked through a door where I saw a guy with a laptop plugged into a disassembled voting machine, he was hammering away at a CLI and cackling maniacally.
