    Both objects were likely traveling in excess of 16000mph (approx 9 times the speed of a bullet). We only know which direction the impactee was traveling. As for the impactor we do not know it's mass and have only vague information as to it's volume (We know it's less than 6cm wide because otherwise it would be trackable by radar). So please explain why what is effectively a pane of glass struck by an object of unknown proportions should have suffered less damage!

  6. Freeze assets worth 14 billion Euro that are present in the EU, and/or prohibit them from doing further business in the EU till they comply. Walking away from a market the size of the EU is a tough call even with back taxes being asked for.

    Truly - the only solution we're going to have to global warming is to hope that eventually we just run out of fossil fuels and clean energy is all that's left.

    I was going to suggest destroying the human race as a possibility but looking at the presidential candidates I think somebody beat me to it :|

    Proper use of Schema.ini or renaming the file to .txt importing it and manually specifying which columns are text, date & numeric. Basically as far as the csv imports concerned it's the ODBC driver that's being too helpful

  17. It's not just Excel. Anything using the MS ODBC CSV driver to load a csv file with the correct data will also get all of these issues enless you know how to fromat a scema.ini file.

  18. Imagine if Oracle wrote a mobile phone operating system! I can only imagine the trailer you'd need to carry it around in and if you think current mobile operaters are expensive wait until you see an Oracle Mobile Phone Licensing agreement.

    The Helium used in party balloons is highly impure and it is not cost effective to refine. One would hope that this aircraft is using the same impure Helium.
