How many jobs will automated cars eliminate? Cabs and couriers are my first thought, large trucks provide millions of entry level jobs. I know automation will come one day, but are we just making more poor people.
This is a key to properly handling a bad situation. I sell monthly service, and anyone who contacts me before the due date asking for an extension, no problem, and no questions asked, ask me after the service auto suspends for non-payment, I don't want to hear it until the balance due it settled.
Credit where it's due: adding the definition of "MDM" at the end was a nice touch for those not already in the know.
Perhaps, but going the extra step to define it for this audience is like having to spell out STD in a porn workers forum.
Isn't it proper journalism practice to define acronyms on their first use, then continue on using the acronym through the remainder of the story? Doing it at the end does make it seems as I am splitting hairs, which I am not, as long as the acronym was defined, I understand it.
Alabama is the home on the Marshall Space Flight Center
In 1961, when President John F. Kennedy envisioned an American on the moon by the end of the decade, NASA turned to Marshall Space Flight Center to create the incredibly powerful rocket needed to turn this presidential vision into reality.
Since its beginning in 1960, Marshall has provided the agency with mission-critical design, development and integration of the launch and space systems required for space operations, exploration, and scientific missions.http://www.nasa.gov/centers/ma...
If you can follow the discussion, do you really need to critique others spelling? It is beyond rude. What did it contribute to the conversation? It is one of those pet peeves of mine, and back when this site had traffic, it always bothered me, now that it is clinging on for dear life, it's just fun troll bait.
The primary goal of bitcoin it to promote trade without central authority. It makes transacting globally very easy for very minimal transaction costs. Bitcoin does much good for the unbanked and poor, so it may be slow adoption., but in many 3rd world countries with unstable national currencies, it has done wonders.
The Force is an energy field in all living things. It separates us, penetrates us and binds us together. If energy can neither be created or destroyed but merely transferred, why would one think it can be "awakened" or gone to sleep?? C'mon JJ, don't let us down!
Exactly. A quick look at his little history (especially with Yahoo a few years back) shows that he's only in it to score some meat from a dying company while the victim is still breathing. Notice that he doesn't really go after healthy, growing companies - only those which show signs of being in serious trouble.
Netflix doesn't seem to be showing signs of trouble, or serious trouble. They had a big bump in the road with Quickster, but seem to be all stream ahead now.
Many of our old aircraft are sold to alies, like the OV-10 I worked on in the early 80's are now either in Columbia or in use in California for civil fire control
It can be used to buy some things, I accept them as payment for VPS hosting, but only 1% or less use them as a payment option. I tend to think it is mostly horded
Lets you use any SSD as a cache in front of another filesystem.
It would be niftier if it would let you use it as a block cache in front of any filesystem, instead of just one located on a specially-prepared partition. dm-cache will do this but isn't up to date.
Maybe Flashcache would be a better choice for some. I use this as a read-cache on several VPS nodes and the results are impressive.
About 1kbit on average, so nothing really. I've provided a pool server for a couple of years now, you have to run ntpd anyway, might as well join it to the pool if it is not going anywhere (IPwise) any time soon.
No need, 1st Amendment overrules California's silly law. The Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2)
At $10/mo, I find plenty to enjoy whenever I use Netflix, so I keep paying.

I don't live and die by StarTrek lore, but weren't the Klingons representative of communism?
Unless you are a class b share holder, forget about forcing Google to do anything, and most class b stock is in founder hands and does not trade

Never allow doubt to tarnish your lust for wealth
Which rule of acquisition is that?
I doubt Americans are fatter because of intestinal worms, I suspect it's from too much food, not knowing when they've had enough.

Or ship garbage from NYC that always seems to be in the news for a barge without a dock
It's just the Hotel California, you can check-in, but you can never leave!
I watched a few of them, one really sucked, but they was no scripted-reality, so that was refreshing.

What Wikipedia doesn't tell you is that Skynet had humble beginnings as a network clock...
Bow to your Cyberdyn Overlords.
Any idea how much bandwidth this would involve?
