    I expect to see something similar.. a copyright string in the PC BIOS. Were Dell, Gateway, whatever to write this string in their BIOS, Apple would have no end to the possible lawsuits it would open up.

    AH, but what if the manufacturers incorporated a user-customizable string in the BIOS much like the "asset tag" settings we have now?

    If by "mature" you mean how much you like being told what to do and how to dress by a bunch of mindless robots, then I wholeheartedly agree.

    That applies to any peer group. The Armani suit crowd or the sk8r crowd. It's fitting into a group and it's still being conformist. The "I have 9 tatoos and 50 piercing" guys are conforming, they just don't know it (and I'm not being biased against piercers I have 3 holes in my left ear, 2 in the right and 1 in my navel but haven't had anything in the ears in years.)

    This is precisely what goes through my mind every time I see another guy in a suit chatting away on his cell phone, walking through the city seeing nothing.

    Does anyone have information on who follow this standard and who doesn't?

    Most crawlers will obey. Spambot email harvesters will usually not. Generate a huge page of crap with loads of fake email addresses and put that in your robots.txt as uncrawlable and watch the spammers grab it.

    Your example is slightly flawed. When I was in school putting "314/100" would be an incorrect answer. You'd want to work to the lowest common denominator so 157/50 is more like it. (that's from my head, if anyone can crunch it lower feel free :))

    f you're into the creepiness of the games, give 3 a shot. It has the scariest level of any game I've ever played.

    Ah, you must mean Shalebridge Cradle. :) That level scared the turd out of me. Amazing atmosphere and plain old creepy gameplay.
