But that doesn't mean "Intelligent Design" can be successfully excluded from discussion in other settings, other classrooms.

Sure it does, "Intelligent Design" is just re-branded Christian creationism. There are laws in the US about separation of church and state. That's why every time it comes to a courtroom they make them toss it from the class.

Between evolution and global warming, I'm getting awfully sick of zealots proclaiming the science is settled and that any skeptic is irrational.

You may be sick of it but the opposing sides have been pretty quiet when asked to show the scientific evidence supporting their positions.

The fact is the anti-evolutionists have nothing to support their assertions, they just attack science with crap that sounds darn good to the crowds in the tents.

Wrong. Intelligent design is a thesis, a philosophical position. It's not testable.

Which is exactly why that nonsense has no place in a science classroom.

A $20 monthly subscription will provide you a link of your choice with the text of your choice (maximum 20 letters) on the main page of all 18 domains for as long as you maintain the subscription. There has been 20 links in these spots for quite some time. The number of links will remain the same. Currently many spots are taken by links to my own sites. As these spots are purchased they'll be replaced, and once the entire list is filled, no more will be sold on this network of sites. We are working on building a second network of sites with the same combination of pages and strong page ranks. We are using our massive network of backlinks to age these sites and build a strong presence for them. Check back for when those links become available.
So to sum it up, the guy's a fucking scumbag. Who cares if he blocks firefox users?

I don't know about the rest of you, but if I had a daughter, I would want her to be able to choose the career she wants, rather than be limited to ones that society determines are gender-appropriate. I would like everyone else's daughter to have the same choice.

I have a daughter. My lady works part time so she can be home with the wee one most days. We didn't base this on gender, we based it on income. If she made more I'd be home.

Before anyone flames me, I would like to point out that men and women are indeed different, and there's nothing wrong with finding humour in those differences. Jokes like the ones above should have died out with the rest of dinosaurs...

Oh wah. I showed my lady the post and she laughed. It was a joke, nothing more, nothing less.
