A few hours after the launch yesterday, the counter was just over 3 million. I was watching the number climb, then it suddenly jumped back to 1.2 million. Is the counter system broken?
Very interesting experiment, but I think your results were only bacause of the fact that there were only 20 users
Do you think this same logic could apply to a corporation of 8000+ people? Where ~3500 are regularly at a PC, and several thousand more just log in every week or two to check up on things and print their paystub?
I could see this causing alot of sites to shut the doors because of lost advertising money
Personally i'd rather see a little ad than have to pay for all the sites that I like. Online tracking/advertising is a really effective system, and usually not too intrusive unless a particular website goes overboard
Chrome seemed to install and run fine in linux/wine, what is the need for this crossover package?
Even if devices use the mini USB connector, theres nothing saying it conforms to any specific standard.
For example, ever try to charge a blackberry from a linux machine?

24 hrs and 27 minutes, that has to be a record
not for long, they just lost 12 of their 14 users!

glad i'm not the only one that had to google "MST3K" before this made any sense
so true. im glad this is the first post on the topic, instead of the typical aura of fanboyism that typically surrounds the smudge-covered POS.
