As long as you aren't married to specific professional applications that do not support linux (Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop, for example), then you can probably get by just fine.
You're assuming the blade shoots cleanly out radially, but at the rotational speeds involved it likely was clipped by subsequent fan blades like a chunk of ice in a blender and propelled forward where it destroyed part of the cowling. Once that structure is damaged the aerodynamic forces would rip it apart.
Yes, Boeing's Military Flight Center is located at Boeing Field. I worked on their AEW&C (mini-AWACS for export) planes and that's where they did test flights.
For those interested in a polished out-of-the-box distro that does not use systemd, MXLinux is based on Debian Jessie and defaults to sysVinit. I'm a fan.
Tried Elementary OS, don't agree that the desktop is "elegant" at all. I disagree with the walled garden paradigm as well.
Currently on MX Linux. Debian based. Sysvinit. Runs wonderfully with Cinnamon.
C64's BASIC was my first exposure to programming. I had to take a FORTRAN class in Aero Engineering school, and coded a computer model based on some old NASA code for my Master's Thesis. My first job was writing FORTRAN and C code for spacecraft flight software. Learning on the job ever since.
Very good question. I always managed to land douchey roommates in college when I didn't have a choice about it, and sometimes even when I did. Even if it's "curated" (is that even legal?), that's a lot of opportunity for Big Brother-type drama. Some people like micro living and I'm sure people will be attracted to that. Sort of an upscale intentional community of sorts.
Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop, Ableton Live, Native Instruments Apps, anything using VST plugins; Sony Vegas
Yes, there are Linux alternatives but they are just not as good.
I worked on both the Mars Climate Orbiter and the Mars Polar Lander, though not on software related to the failures. I did fry a $12k damper during testing though due to a misunderstanding with the thermal engineers on hardware placement (I didn't lose my job, I was fresh out of college). Due the fact that the capillary pumped loop heat pipe thermal system didn't work, they ended up cutting it off and adding extra heaters/sensors at the last minute. Looming launch deadlines make for crazy times...
For an eye-opening documentary on Methamphetamine (understanding Adderall is low dose amphetamine):
"National Geographic: World's Most Dangerous Drug" (available on Netflix)
In Asia it goes by "ya ba" and is used by workers to work longer hours and more shifts, to make more money.
"Some say the pressure to compete has created a generation of Thai meth addicts"
Wait. You're trusting investors and stockholders, whose primary goal is to make money, to ensure that the company sticks to their profitibility-limiting "benefit corp" goals?

Many if not all of the songs from GTA3 are on Spotify. Head Radio and Lips 106 are still fun to listen to.

Some Blade Failure Tests
I wouldn't want to be a beta tester for a 1st gen device with no pedigree. Maybe after a few iterations, sure.
Same here. Almost got a used V20 to replace my aging 6P but waited for this. With no removable battery, there is no point.

MX Linux is what you are looking for.
It is however the duty of the CA to verify identity and ownership of the domain before issuing the cert. That what makes them an authority.

The Mars '98 Lander suffered a similar fate; in that case the rockets cut off too soon:
Mars Polar Lander

When I read handheld it makes me think more along the lines of the Noisy Cricket ...

I suggest IronCrypt or something of the sort that projects strength and security.
Suddenly I think of banjos.
Monoliths even ....
Side-splittingly funny.
Just installed and tried it. I don't see the "Switch to Classic Menu Style" option on the Application Launcher. I probably won't use it just for that.
