Why is the US using sugar instead of a bigger product for Costa Rica, like coffee or bananas?
I'll tell you why, there's a controlling elite in Costa Rica that has managed the country for a few years already, and the head of this elite is the current President and his brother, Oscar and Rodrigo Arias, which in turn own the biggest sugar cane fields in the country. So the attack is directly to their pockets and so they move all their influence to enforce the IP law, that includes stupid rules as that every restaurant or public place will have to pay royalty to the RIAA equivalent in our country if they play the radio to keep their customers entertained!
The worst case is that the oposition in our country is not well organized nor has the intellectual strength to fight this kind of laws, plus the elite has majority in congress, so the IP laws have some resistance, but they have not been approved because congress is to darn slow to do anything, so we'll get them eventually.
I still use my ISA hercules card and a Cannon monochrome green cga monitor as an mda 3rd head in my every day workstation, it is great for text or curses based monitoring apps like iptraf, uplog and such
I currently use two mouse that are my favorites, for desktop use I have a 16 year old IBM mouse from the original PS2, made in Ireland with a big heavy ball and great buttons (like the one you can see here, and for games I use the WingMan Gaming Mouse wich is a high res usb 3 button mouse with the best shape ever turned into a mouse, I can use them both at the same time in X, if you wonder how just set both mice input sections and add

Is good to know that finaly they're going to do it, I've known Mr. Chan-Diaz for a while and at the begining nobody wanted to listen to him... he had to fight for resources and time, but is good to hear that he's really doing it know...
By the way, for all of you who said a few days ago that 3th world people needed to know how to read before they can use the web Dr. Frankling Chan Diaz is from Costa Rica, he was born in Costa Rica, raised in Costa Rica and went to University of Costa Rica also... so what do you think about us now... and he's not the only one that smart... Costa Ricans also have some patents in the US for the memory mesh of the old but great Wang Computers and some other stuff.

it's a finnish name, not an english name, so you have to pronounce it like it is: "Leenuhks"
