Well, I hope so, IgnoramusMaximus. You know, if there's one thing I've learnt from being in the Army, it's never ignore a pooh-pooh. I knew a Major, who got pooh-poohed, made the mistake of ignoring the pooh-pooh. He pooh-poohed it! Fatal error! 'Cos it turned out all along that the soldier who pooh-poohed him had been pooh-poohing a lot of other officers who pooh-poohed their pooh-poohs. In the end, we had to disband the regiment. Morale totally destroyed... by pooh-pooh!
I'm not a Sony fanboy, I don't own a PS3 and if I did I probably wouldn't bother installing Linux on it anyway....but.....what other console come (came) with the ability to install Other OSs without hacking them?
At least Sony tried it. Then someone hacked it and opened up the platform to pirated games - effectively putting a massive dent in their games revenue. And considering that Sony make a loss on each PS3 sold and make their money back up on game sales this means a lot to them. It may not be a nice thing for them to do and maybe they could have secured is better so that it couldn't be hacked in this way but I don't think it was malicious on their part, they're trying to save their asses.
Doh! I meant to say Final Scratch which was made by Stanton and Native Instruments and was premiered in 1998, 6 years before Serato was released. Stanton only make the ScratchAmp interface these days, not the software.
Or they like mixing/scratching and there is a growing culture of DJs (and wannabe DJs) out there. Final Cut and its equivalents are ok and getting better but there's something about the direct physical control you have over a piece of vinyl that puts it above the rest.
Unless of course you were implying that DJs are all fools?
There was a similar post in december last year. Main difference seems to be speed. That did 400 pages in 20 minutes, this new one does 200 in 1 minute.
Sure it doesn't matter for a Mario game but when the game is supposed to be an immersive storytelling game then it stands out.
In Max Payne the voice acting was mostly good (if a bit cheesy). There was one voice clip that grated every time I heard it. When the baddies spot you they sometimes say "what the hell?". Except that it's said in a tone of voice which makes it sound more like a relaxed "yeah, what the hell, I'm game" than a tense, surprised "what the hell is that?"
Do I want to a) fight Windows security and have the apps I want, b) ignore security and have the apps I want, or c) have security, but have to learn some other app, or maybe do without that app.
d) actually get some work done using apps which are only available for windows meaning I occasionally have to deal with a virus or other security issue but it's rarely an issue.

You must be new here.

No, that was George Hotz.
The parent was responding to a post about recording musical instruments.
But aren't taxes the thing that the hole is sucking in?
Why? What's wrong with that?
That sounds like a nasty cough.
You should see a doctor.
The government pays me tax?
I wish I lived in your simple, black and white world.

Vinyl sales are rising because people are fools.

I read it via Lynx on Linux whilst cruising down the Link, listening to Link and watching Link....but then the Link went down.
You obviously don't use base 13.
Indeed. For example: 6 out of 7 dwarves aren't Happy.
Maybe it proves his point more than he intended.
A picture is worth a thousand words. A video is worth 24,000 words per second.

Why does it matter when you clearly understand?

My answer is d.
Well a week ago most people (76% of americans, 87% of chinese) think it is or should be a right.
I wouldn't call "the last five years" "the dawn of the republic".
Um, firstly the parent mentioned this already.
You get the advantage of easier chronological sorting (ala the US system of month/day)
Secondly, you can't sort a date alphabetically because dates are comprised of digits, not letters of the alphabet.
