Cool, so I can drive through stop signs and not get a ticket?
I *hate* it that bike riders aren't given tickets for the same things car riders are, or even pedestrians doing dangerous things (like jaywalking across the boulevard in front of my workplace).
Taxing EVs makes perfect sense. They still need roads to be built and maintained.
We still pay registration for the car.
Just raise taxes _specifically_ for roads (in the law, the money has to be used for roads), based on the weight of the vehicle. and/or have pay lanes _along_ with the lanes for the rest of us to use.
Regular 3 ball juggling is VERY easy.. (even I can do it!) I can do 6 pin passing, barely, but never got past that to any significant degree.. (I guess I can do 2 in one hand well enough that I could probably learn 4 via 2 in each hand quickly.)
Basically, the most basic juggling is so easy everybody can do it.
The notion everyone should learn to programme computers is ridiculous in the same sense everyone should should learn to wire their own home or repair their own automobile.
But shouldn't everybody be able to do at least minor repairs in both of those areas?
I say that as a hypocrite, as I have AAA, and have paid for oil changes, but I *could* do the things.
One interesting effect of both the PS2 and PS3 was that their design was so bizarre that it took years for programmers to be able to optimize effectively.
Can you give a couple of very very high level examples of what is bizarre about them? (..if you know why they were designed that way, even better)
Companies should be permitted to get as big as they can, and fail if they can't succeed.
Environmental and other safety limits should of course be placed on them, but simply limiting based on SIZE makes absolutely no sense... unless you're against capitalism.
(Though you can already buy electric cars at the price level of Accord & Civic... Though my electric drive smart car is probably way more barebones than most people like -- though IMHO it's closer to your "plain-Jane".. Though even it has some gimmicks too, like the back window being motorized to unlock.)
Even if they make batteries better than they make cars, making their cars is a way to get their batteries noticed.
After all, Pixar was a software/hardware company, and originally made shorts to show off their hardware & software. (By the time they made movies, I think you could argue they were as much a media-creation company.)
_if we top up enough each month_. Yes, but if you don't, you pay per text.
Hmm, I can't find the REALLY cheap virginmobile plans at the moment, maybe they don't exist anymore (up until a few years ago when I had one, it was $5/month if you had it auto-top-up every 3 months).. But even now, the lowest $20/month top up plan I see mentions 15 cents/text. While that's really expensive, for someone who just uses it as an emergency phone, it's not really a big deal.
83% of people think they are smarter than average. Which means that nearly half of the people who THINK they are smart are actually dumb.
I'm risking stepping in it, I realize.
Assuming that 83% number, that's 33% "too high"?...and if you mean what I think you mean, half of that 33% really is smarter than average, and half isn't... on average (heh). So that would be 16.5%.
Basically, I don't see where you're getting "nearly half" in any of that... Unless that was a joke I'm missing (whoosh).
As I've said other times, I get very little junk physical mail, and turn off lots of the email communication too.. I have my credit cards auto-paid every month.
The transaction fee thing _is_ an issue, but as I've said before, my individual purchase price is identical regarding cash or credit (with the sort-of exception of gas, but counting rewards it is _as_ cheap too, plus I don't buy gas anymore anyway), so I might as well make the one that is most convenient AND cheaper to me..
Q Can my kids work on projects and take classes with me at TechShop? A See here for our complete family policies.
Kids and young adults (12 to 17 years of age) can work on projects at TechShop under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian if they are included in your membership (call and ask about our Family Membership offers).
Many classes at TechShop are open to kids and young adults (12 to 17 years of age) when they are taken with their parent or legal guardian. However, based on the inherent risk to the operator there are some tools and machines at TechShop that kids are not permitted to operate at any time. These include the milling machines and lathes.
Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to enter the workshop areas at TechShop except for during staff guided tours, age-appropriate classes and certain special events.
Well, then you're paying more than you need to. I pay off my credit cards too, but use at least 2 regularly. One for restaurant purchases (almost 3% back), one for grocery store (IIRC 2% back)... and several rewards cards.
Umm, no. F in FPS is "first person", i.e. looking through the eyes of the player one is controlling.
Wolfenstein has a mostly top down perspective.
Wizardry is arguably a first person, turn based, D&D game.
Why wouldn't the same be true of cars?
Cool, so I can drive through stop signs and not get a ticket?

This was made fun of on Sunday's "This Week with John Oliver".
Except for saving gas... which is the reason for the 55 MPH limit in the first place.
How do you speed up a driverless car?
Presumably when you hit the gas, it goes into driver-ful mode.
We still pay registration for the car.

Tesla will be getting there with their next gen car:

One of the best multiplayer games I've ever played.
SB II added way too many special bombs or whatever. Took away the 'simplicity' part of the game.

Except, you're completely ignoring the energy required to do that, PLUS all of the pollution, including global warming gasses, created by doing that.
PLUS the fact that even the lowest range mainstream electric cars now get double what the average driver drives every day.
50% better is minor?

Uggh, not having.. or "to not have to..."
Not have to carry as many rewards/credit cards in your wallet/on your keychain?
Don't just "wish". Let them know and VOTE that way.
Why do you need the plastic? Is that just for ease of molding? Seems like it can't be recyclable this way.
If you can run it in both dedicated or non-dedicated mode, why is dedicated mode better? Does it support more users or something?
