  1. Sony makes me feel on Why Sony Cannot Stop PS3 Pirates · · Score: 1

like an idiot all over again. I bought a PS3 instead of an XBox due to the never-ending complains regarding the RROD issue. Should have taken the risk instead.

Reading about GeoHot getting sued just goes to show how much of a dick Sony is. I have a job that affords me to buy games that I want without having to resort to piracy. But at the end of the day, the PS3 is mine and Sony should not have the right to dictate how I use it. I'm interested in the homebrew community since there's a possibility that someone might write a better XMB for me to play my MKV files without the need for prior format conversion.

I knew I shouldn't have trusted Sony ever since the rootkit fiasco but I thought to myself, different departments, different policies. Nope, they proved me wrong time and time again.

The PS3 will be my last purchase from Sony ever. None of their TVs, eReaders or any of goods whatsoever.

But let's not forget that sometimes, removing existing features is a necessary evil. If later versions of Firefox needs to always support old plugins, it's hard to move forward. Isn't this the same problem Windows is having when they have to maintain support for legacy apps?

Here in Singapore, we pay about SGD$24.90(US$18) every month for 3G service, which includes 2Mbps downstream and a 50GB monthly cap. I suppose its rather reasonable as its really convenient to listen to the internet radio stations on my iPhone as well as checking my email while I'm in the train.

have you ever been to jungles in Brunei? bet you haven't. Btw, i'm not from the US so please stop acting like everyone in this forum is. Maybe you could Google some stories regarding personnel who have been to Brunei for training and stop trying to call bullshit on everything. FYI, Brunei is located in the Borneo.

  7. cellphone as a robust method of communication on Air Traffic Controller Lands Stricken Plane By SMS · · Score: 1

I've been in the army for a number of years and it never cease to amaze how sometimes cellphones can be quite a reliable way of communications. I've been into thick and dense jungles and where conventional army equipments(signal sets) would fail, our back up for communicating with our comrades would be our cell phones. We were once separated from the main troops and I tried contacting my buddies via the signal sets issued to the signaler, to no avail. I whipped out my cell phone, dialed my buddy's number, and because of that, my men and I managed to find our way to the main body.
