    In four mouse clicks I've added that site to my exceptions list. It warned me, I read and understood the warning, I acted.

    Good for you, but people like you - and me and the rest of the people here - aren't "normal". Grandma won't know what the hell to do (besides call you). She might even think "those evil hackers" "got her".

    Self-signed certs are a potential problem, but Firefox could have worked out a better way of handling it. A more novice-friendly way.

    Basically, we need Bruce Schneier and Jakob Nielsen to marry and have children. We'd better contact Dr. Moreau to work out the breeding program. :)

    Except that the "window" was a concept that was known to many OS's before Microsoft got ahold of it.

    Let's not confuse patents and trademarks.

    Same case here with Cloud Computing.

    I don't know what the situation with Cloud Computing is. The little I know makes me want to avoid the entire mess. So, I can't really comment.

    You should not be able to trademark a name of a generic concept or practice.

    Eh. This is getting philosophical.

    Microsoft trademarked "windows."

    Which only applies to operating systems, computers and related crap. It does not cover the use of the word for sheets of glass.

    Trademark law seems a little less insane than copyright. At least, to a layman.

    1. Native American Government is much much less transparent about their business than is normal in a 'Western' government, allowing shenanigans that even their own people would protest.

    If this drug works as advertised & has no dangerous side effects, why wouldn't *everyone* including athletes take it?

    Like all the enhancement drugs - performance and cognitive, these will be banned for general consumption and highly regulated.

    You'll need to go thru r&d channels, vet supply, or the import route.

    Not that I know anything about grey market pharma.... No, sir, nothing at all. ;)

    The problem, you see, is the "paranoid faction" of each party shuts up (mostly, anyway) when Their Guy is in the Whitehouse. I'm sure, for example, that "left wing liberals" will shut their white-guilt ridden mouths the second Obama gets in. :)
