    I don't think it's really that bad.
     
    Both the Japanese companies and the American companies do a lot of outsourcing of their manufacturing. The Japanese outsource their manufacturing to the USA and the American companies outsource to Mexico.
     
    So if you want a car Made in America(TM) buy a Japanese car.

    Actually the Virginia Class Sub, New Hampshire was $54 million under budget and was 8 months early, but yeah it really doesn't happen.

    IIRC the rule of thumb for buying a car made in America is to buy a Japanese car and to buy a car made outside of the US is to buy an American car.

    I seem to remember Carnivore being a huge "letdown" when detail of what it could actually do came out, IIRC the program itself could be recreated in perl in about 15 min. Not that I'm defending the program, it was just meh in its capabilities

    Those numbers are theoretical though, or more accurately what an ideal IQ test will deliver; there are a lot of complaints about the current IQ tests.

    Last time I looked, years ago, Readyboost didn't really do anything unless you had 512mb of RAM AKA 25% of what Vista needs.
     
    However SuperFetch is awesome, and IIRC Vists/7's disk defrag actually moves files around on your HDD so that files that are used more often are put on the outsider of the disk.

    True, but in my case I developed allergies by playing in the compost as a kid. We had a massive compost with leaves and grass clippings and we would climb around in it.

    I'm in Indianapolis and we've solved this problem we burn all of our trash, and it runs a steam works (biggest in the country IIRC).
