Fantastic. Now for all eternity (or as long as Slashdot archives remain on the 'net) there will be a direct link to your daughter's page in the midst of a goatse.cx discussion. Imagine the pride she will have when her friends point out that her father linked her site with the Goatse.cx man.

Just right-click the report window and disable "popup when webbug found".
I realized that was possible, but my point really was that the software did not protect but merely detect. So, in addition to being easy prey to webbuggers I can choose to be alerted when being bugged. Whoop-dee-doo.
Call me when the program stops, deflects or damages (say by corrupting the database?) the webbuggers. --

Why? The market share of other browsers is too small to worry. But, don't worry, other browsers will have their own ways of dealing with this (like Konqueror and Mozilla do).
I've installed the webbug detector but am about to uninstall it as it merely seems to be an annoyance designed to make me aware and complain to the offending site, but does nothing (that I can tell) to protect me from these evil creatures. I don't like to be annoyed... --
Also he follows the old testament, but claims hes a chinaman pure... funny i thought the majority of chinamen did'nt follow the old testament or most western religions exsclusivly...
You'd be surprised how many Christians there are in China. There are over 20 million underground Christians in China right now -- these are true believing fundementalists who risk their lives for their beliefs. There is also State run Christian Church (the 3-Self Movement).
As a matter of fact, a very popular devotional author, Watchman Nee, born in the early 1900's, was a third generation Christian and his grandfather was a native Chinese Methodist minister. He was imprisoned for 20 years and died there(suspiciously -- after one of Nixon's aides inquired about his health). His books are very popular around the world.
It's funny what we assume when we don't know. It's also funny for people to see people equate religion to culture - which seems correct but is not absolute. Belief can transcend culture. --
Oops. Death is an important part of population control - you're amazing technology is versus this benefit. Destroy your technology now or the earth will be completely overrun with immortal humans who CANNOT DIE and make room for others. --
Well, seeing as Ashcroft, the AG, is firmly in MS's pocket (http://www.opensecrets.org/)...
I followed the link you gave to Ashcroft's page. A $10,000 donation to his campaign hardly indicates he's in Microsoft's pocket, even less, firmly so. In fact that $10k is paltry compared to Microsoft's total contributions in the last election cycle (which did favor Rep's 59% to Dems %41).
Thanks for the link, but hold off on the rhetoric unless you have something a bit more substantial to back it up. --
Your arguments track amazingly well with those in favor of preserving white power in the US, Aryan purity in Germany in the 30's and what the Taliban is doing now in Afghanistan. Is that the company you like to keep? --
What's the difference between language crimes and religion crimes? What's the difference between the direction Quebec is heading and where the Taliban are?
I understand people wanting to preserve culture (etc.) but at gunpoint? What does this say about Quebec (and France) that they must legislate the use of French? Doesn't that fact alone mean the battle has been lost?
Ah well. The rantings of an English-speaking American... --
My wife has run Linux on her desktop for three years now.
My wife is an RN and has no particular computer skills to speak of - but she always chooses Linux over Windows at boot time. Reason? KDE's games. She loves games and email. KMail works fine for her. Windows doesn't have many pre-installed (free) games and she's sick to death of sol.exe.
So I laugh everytime I think of my wife's preferred desktop.
Oh, I develop using Linux servers and have to use Windows (or Win4Lin) to test client-side issues related to IE5.5. Keep going Konqueror. Match IE5.5, quirk for feature, and I'll not need Windows. Until then, I'm stuck in Windows-land.... --
Ok... I watched the video and that was enough. There is no way I can type on a moveable mini-keypad that also acts as a mouse when moved. Maybe others have no problem keeping a light, mobile square stable while reaching for a top- or bottom-row key... This thing would drive me nuts.
To each his (ambiguous masculine third person pronoun includes both genders...and transgenders, I suppose) own.
BTW, I'm the kind that loves the point-stick (I'm not using the N-word in my posts!) to the extent that I only consider laptops with the point-stick as an option. Kinda narrows down the choices, but at least I can choose between IBM and Toshiba models. (I've owned the Workpad z50 and, currently, a Toshiba Satellite 2805). --
The articles are starting points for discussion. Even though this article is off base, a quick read through the posts will point readers to good links for more information.

True, but
Even the thought of immorality should send shivers down the spine of population control-freaks, er, proponents.--
