    I really don't get the problem many people have with apple not letting you do what you want with the gadgets they make. They are very clear about it before you buy it. There are very nice gadget that come with linux installed. You can't be hip and geek at the same time :-)

    Someone in Russia can just hack into a fbi account using some IE or PDF hole, then send a false subpoena to gain access to my account. The subpoena will never be looked on twice or reviewed by anyone and my provider will promptly comply. There is no escape :-)

    I don't want to be seen as defending the american government but there is surely a difference between providing means to violently attach a government and providing means to nonviolently attempt to change it. Providing laptops and cellphone is not the same as providing information on how to build bombs.

    Actually i would have been very happy to pay $1000 for a 10" or 11" Mac. Tired of waiting i installed Ubuntu on a $500 netbook and i'm now very happy with it. I bet i'm not alone :-)

    I clicked on "parent" to reply to this post but it didn't do what i expected!? I wanted to add "Do you work on an oil rig, war zone or the middle of the amazon" or are you a parent? Anybody with small children around the house needs a rugged laptop.
