My contract for employment with one of the top Tech companies ended a few months ago, and its another company who uses McAfee. Why is a huge company who could afford a better AV solution choose something like McAfee? I can find other solutions that would be less resource intense, and have fewer process running in the background. McAfee is the BIGGEST peice of sh*t I have ever had to administer. Anyone care to shed some light?

With the recent incident that IBM patented the Resolution of abbreviated text in an electronic communications system . WTF is that all about? Really?
jpeg is a lossless format anyways... JPEG suck if you want to keep quality.. Everytime you open and save the image it looses quality.
Use a PNG, or TIF for a better quality image that you can open and save many times without loosing quality.
What do you expect from techs getting piss poor pay. A trained monkey reading a script, and answering questions from a FAQ. Symantec dictats everything via web chat.

I have a pretty powerful 70 frost Mage in holding, and has been for almost 2 years now. The game stopped being fun when I had to go out for hours and hours to get hundrends and hundreds of gold for my glass. Yea killing monsters 2,3,4 at a time is easy with a mage, but after 20min of the same sh*t it gets boring.
All I liked to do was raid. Having a 20man and going into a scene and trying to work as a huge team to defeat these monsters. It's NOT fun when you're all alone doing quests by yourself etc.
This is where I wish the wow glider was legal and I would not risk my account being deleted cause blizzard wants everyone to spend there life into this game, sit in front of the computer endlessly like the south park boys did just to level up. That's ridiculous!! I wont ever play or put any of my $$ into this game again. Blizz is not changing their ways.
So once users are 'banned' from the comcast network because they went over the 250gb limit, what do they do? If there are no other ISPs in the area, then is comcast depriving a person out of internet? How is this fair?
We all know 250gb cap is BS, but what can we do? Not use that ISP? I've been using word of mouth as a great tool to have people switch from comcast to other ISP. Comcast has always been shady, and with recent actions why stay with them?
I'm a FIOS users, and have loved every min of it... Except when I have to call verizon.. for anything.... Those people need some TLC.:)

I'm sorry to break it to ya, but TOR is broken in many ways. To use TOR with P2P is _not_going_be_ the best solution anyways as their network is not really designed for P2P traffic, but more web based traffic.
I'm good friends with one of the JanusVM developers and I can only say that there is still many 'open' vulnerabilities with TOR. Defcon 15 we had lots of fun with TOR, Defcon 16 will be another fun year! A better solution would be to use a total transparent layer of security and privacy solution; JanusVM(http://www.janusvm.com).
This is def something the pirate bays guys should pursue, and hopefully get finished. I'll be paying closer attention to their project.

I've had a cell phone for years as the only way of communication. You need me? Call my cell or hit me up on AIM or something. Never had a landline for myself, always running around and never at home much. So more of a convenience to have a cell than a landline. Plus why pay for 2 phone services? Yeah, a land line may be ~$30 a month, but I can apply that towards the cell bill.
I see it as family's or the older generation that still have land lines. It's natural, and people have been doing it forever.
I'm a FIOS customer, and have yet to see any issues with my torrents and disconnects, or any speed or BW issues. It does help to have a 15mb/15mb connection, but still.
Curious to see how these companies will handle the P2P load. . .
What about if there are already precautions about devices being plugged into your machine without a security flag?? Then when they stick there little pen drive in the 'target machine' and it gets rejected what they gonna do? Break or destroy your PC? Encryption at bootup? What now? That little device M$ made is now useless. I didn't see anything about this devices capabilities besides it having a ton of commands....
I would have to agree with the person that mentioned something about the ultimate zeroday. Since M$ decided to create this device, now there is only a matter of time before someone else creates something better.
My OS is more like swiss cheese, so many holes! I do however need to try out the latest ubuntu.:)

Coming back from Spain I usually bring a few items. Some giant Spanish olives, Spanish oil etc. When I was coming through JFK airport about 6 months ago my carry-on bag was checked through security. I had 2 "sealed" CANS of Spanish olives. Unfortunately the TSA agent took them and threw them in the garbage. I asked why? They are SEALED in a CAN. I was told.. "Theres liquid in it, therefor you cant have it.." Can the TSA tell me how the fuck Im suppose to blow up a plane with a sealed can of olives? It's a sealed CAN, and I don't have a magical can opener either. Even a P38 would be found through a metal detector. What a bunch of crap I say!

At my work when someone gets fired or leaves we take their machine and whip the drive, and then reimage it. New user, 'new os'. Makes sense to me.
