  1. Anyone knows if.. on Konqueror Ported To QT/Embedded · · Score: 1

    ..one can put Qt/embedded on a i686 ? I would
love to use that instead of xfree. I never use

This is why a lot of quake3 players want to
squeeze the last fps out of their box. They know
it wont look cooler (heck, does guys dont care
about aesthetics, they have every graphic option
turned off) but it will help them make the dm6

I think this is fixed in the latest patch.

Er, the changes are applied equally for everyone. Here's a hint: if your m@d skilz depend on exploiting cheats in the game, you're probably not that good. I have mixed emotions for what you say.
Yes, all changes affect everybody that _decides_ to apply the patch.

Nobody exploited cheats in a game. They took the game to another level by understand the game throughly. A cheat is one, when the other people dont know you are using it or when it gives someone an unfair advantage. All the tactics and techniques hardcore gamers use are known and, most of all, when in a tournament, they all use the same machines and they are not allowed to use real cheats (using brighter skins, aim bots, etc).

What the original postar was talking about, has NOTHING to do with top players cheating. It has to do with ID software nullifying what they had learnt and forcing a change in gameplay.

You would complain too if you were a good tennis player and someone decided to make the court bigger, the size of the ball smaller and different material. Maybe you wont be good anymore. Not that you are not good at tennis. You are good at THE OLD tennis. All the tricks you had to make the ball land were you wanted or bounce with a desired effect are gone.

Wrong. Most of the current applications are, by
    a very strict sense, useless.

But not all of them. To site one pretty nice
example of what a creative use of wap can do, i
will post a text from the wap faq (http://allnetdevices.com/faq/):

"A good example of this, is a service that displays the location of different types of public transport in a city. Let's say you're running to the bus stop, late for a meeting, and since buses are never on time, you need to find out if the bus has just left the stop, or is just ten minutes late.

At the bus stop there's usually a time table, but this one has a unique number printed on it. You access the public transportation site, and key in the number. The web server at the other end then knows exactly where you are, and can display the location of the nearest bus since the bus has a GPS system on board. Here in Oslo, the capital of Norway, we have, in addition to buses, subway, trams and trains. The buses do currently not have GSP on board, but some of the trams have. The subway and the trains do not, but their locations are known via the subway and train control centre. In short, this system can be enabled today without having to wait for any new technology. "

Cant wait till gps is integrated on cell fones.
Of course, that can raise security/privacy issues
but there are plenty more great uses for wap once
the user can be located (if he wants to).

Why cant apple let the word flow ? I dont see
a good reason to stop it, unless its diffamatory
or with the purpose of harm.

Everybody likes rumours. Its gossip, attention.

one of the advantages/power of MP3 and other digital media is previewing, thus helping you
    make better choices.

Personally, i have bought more CDs because i have
tried them before. I have even explored other
genres that I previously couldnt afford.

Now, everytime i buy a CD, its something
i really want because i already tasted; like
buying a DVD of your favorite movie.

A year or 2 ago, 50% of the cds I bought sucked and
    I had no way to find out until after i bought it;
like buying a DVD only because of the trailer
    of the movie.

    So, mp3 have brought me:
    1. wiser choices
    2. less deceptions
    3. enjoyed other music otherwise i wouldnt have
    4. more CDs

have 20 or so old pentiums.

A lot of companies are donating old equipment

Not only does he deserve the award for technical
