MCS works quite well, especially well on Fibre Channel and Brand Name Hardware such as Dells and Compaqs.
I don't want to start a pissing contest, just expressing another data point...
I'd have to disagree.
My employer spent nearly $1/4M trying to set up a fault tolerant email system using MCS...
It was a total disaster...The SMTP service would hang and the Cluster Service would either ignore it, or hang in the process of failover
I spent my first 3 months on site rebuilding that puppy..(Thanks MS!)
MCS works fine if all you're preparing for is a machine that craps out totally or falls off the network, but if you want it to failover when a service hangs, forget it...
We use nothing but Compaq hardware and NT4 and W2k as operating systems.
We have the same problem with our Webserver on a purpose built Compaq "cluster-in-a-box"
...the film was upside down and playing backwards!
This hapened to me many years ago at the first screening of "Alien" in the Republic of Korea...
Somehow, the last reel was wound backwards...
When the third reel started (I think it was third..),
Ripley climbed out of a sleep pod, a huge
explosion coalessed into the Nostromo, and an
escape vehicle flew in reverse and docked...
Naturally, this made no sense, since the last
thing we had seen was Ripley starting to initiate the self-destruct sequence...!
IMHO, the show has really been dead since The Movie...
For me the only interesting storyline was the Alien Invasion/Gov't Conspiracy thread...
That died a bizarro death with The Movie...
Since then the show has just been floundering around, looking for a story to tell, and coming up short...
At least when Millennium died they ended it quickly...
Frank Black didn't spend 3 seasons wandering around looking lost and only vaguely aware that something was happening somewhere...
I have both a Hotmail account and a Yahoo account.
The Hotmail account averages 10 to 20 pieces of Spam per day.
The Yahoo account averages 2 Spams per day.
The funny thing is I don't use the Hotmail account address for anything, I use the Yahoo account for virtually everything.
So. My theory is that Hotmail/MSN allows/encourages spammers to fill their users mailboxes with crap!
There are 2 possible reasons:
1 - Hotmail/MSN actually sells their user lists to spammers.
2 - Hotmail/MSN drives up revenues by selling larger mailboxes to people who get more Spam.
I worked as a Postmaster at a Federal Gov't agency a couple of years ago.
While I was there we did several things to try and determine what kinds of messages were entering our system.
One of the things we did was to queue all incoming messages for a short period so could have a chance to look at them.
What we determined was that over 95% of all the messages we received that were larger than 1 Meg were CRAP of some sort, and definitely NOT business related.
We also tracked the number of messages per day going through the system for several months and found that just before Thanksgiving our numbers would triple and stay that way until Valentines Day...
Report them to their ISP or their upstream provider.
It's worked for me in the past...

2. 8 megs of RAM have served me well, better than I ever imagined...After 2 years of daily use I have over 5 megs still available.

My Handspring is one of the most useful things I own, right next to my Swiss-Army Knife...I don't leave home without either one...
Well, when I bought my VisorPhone a few months ago, I had to choose a service offered on the Handspring website and sign-up with Cingular (Bell South) through Handspring...
I had to commit to 1 year service, if I drop the service within that year, I pay full price for the VisorPhone...

The only way to do this would be to use a decent server-class M/B with 64bit/66MHz PCI bus - which would take the total system cost above 2.5k$.

Short answer, NO...
Security Clearances cannot be bought.
To get a clearance you need to be hired for a position that will require a clearance.
Either that or join the Military in a specialty that requires a clearance.
