I would go so far as to say that my TF101 is a pretty good Android tablet that can double as a pretty good Android netbook.
Seriously, I do love my transformer . The screen is a bit hard to use as a touchpad while docked, but not really that tough to use, unless you have CTS.
The keyboard, for me, more than makes up for the awkwardness of the keyboard.
Oh, and if you REALLY need a pad, you just, you know, take it out of the dock.
If this one improves on the TF101, so much the better in my book.
I use a Sans Digital 5 bay external SATA raid array for all the pics from 2 Canon digital cameras.

It's not backup. It's storage. I've had it for over a year, and it's pretty damn solid.
It is NOT cheap, and you'll want a reasonably hefty UPS to handle it and the computer it's on. ( On the other hand, it is not Expensive either, for what you get. )
You MUST go the sans digital website and, pretty much only, buy the drives they recommend.
If you do research and get RAID ready drives, you can call them and discuss with them your drive of choice, and then buy, at your own risk of course. I went this route. Bought the whole thing, external enclosure & SATA card, Drives, thru newegg.
It does need a slot for the card.
It slows your boot down.
It is fast.
It's RAID 5 w/ a hot spare as configured( i think).
For Disaster recovery, you will still need something else.
Overall, I love the thing.
For backup, you might be able to get away with one of those top-loading sata drive holders. Move stuff off to two cheapy drives and store someplace offsite.
Good luck.
And when I want to have points, I don't. When I don't want to have points, I do.
I would love points for this. Someone mod this up, anon or not, funny as hell.
Yeah, yeah, so sue me cause I've posted 4 in a row.
Lord Valentine's Castle.
You'll want to learn to juggle before you're done with this one, so don't read it unless you can deal with bloody knuckles.
(Hint, juggle in front of a concrete wall, and you'll soon stop throwing the balls, whatever, forward.... Not from the story, from learning to juggle.)
Oh, the three Valentine books will burn quite some time. Beware.
Good lord, you f'ers are making me go out of my cave and look at my library.
I still have most of this stuff up on a shelf, but the bright light of the aboveworld at 10 pm is too much for me!
I don't think this got listed high enough. Back in the day when I was in the Science Fiction Book Club, Anne McCaffery, Pern.
The entire series.
Boy was it a tough read in HS. I don't think it would too much easier as a 40 year old, but sticks with me to this day.
Every time I see a loose piece of thread, I'll think about it.
Stop being so obtuse.
For all intents and purposes, science pretty much does say that the crap you "believe" in, IE, hold to be true, should be backed up by SOME evidence. Otherwise, WTF makes you believe it to be true? Some old book says it is so?
YOU ARE ALLOWED TO *BELIEVE* otherwise than what science says, but you probably ought to have SOME EVIDENCE in your new belief.
This is pretty much the basis of the scientific method. Get an idea about how something works, then find evidence that it does work that way.
TRUE science requires some kind of evidence.
That evidence can certainly be proven wrong later on, but you really shouldn't go espousing a "belief" in *something* without having at least a *shred* of evidence.
Take Gravity. Let's just say, I believe gravity is caused by all the turles. ( It's turtles all the way down! )
SCIENCE pretty much says you are an idiot, without SOME kind of evidence. Mostly, it does REQUIRE you to have SOME evidence of said turtles. I'll give it to you with a faked photo from orbit, but I'll still think you're an idiot. But at least with a faked photo, you can can show WHY you believe it.
I'm not sure "Scientific Method", or Science, means what you think it means.
Science certainly WILL "jump out of the bushes" and tell people they are wrong. Science is MOST DEFINITELY about refuting incorrect beliefs.
That is part of what makes Science so great. Black folks are inferior to white folks, mentally, IQ wise? I think science has pretty well "jumped out of the bushes" to tell them they are idiots.
Yeah, science DOES jump and tell people things.
The problem is, and this was on/. , people don't change their beliefs based on evidence, no matter how great the evidence.
Science pretty much requires you to show evidence for your beliefs. Otherwise, it ain't Science.
Guns aren't only about killing people.
They're also about killing tasty meat popsicles that haven't yet made it to my table.
On a more serious note, there are still quite a lot of people who enjoy shooting just for target practice and competitions.
So yes, it's sad.
And so is your attitude.
This is slashdot. Nothing will make the poster turn muscular...
post to remove incorrect mod. Never mod after 2 gin & tonics! Always wait until 4...

Second Macroscope! Also, Blue Adept, and if you can take the puns, all the Xanth stuff will have you rolling in the Isles for aegis...
Seconded! Kept me very entertained.
Must Second this. One of my favorites. I have reread this series several times.

heh, the shovel worked for one side. The other side I couldn't fit any shovel into.
Just buy a Kubota with a snowblower.
I did, after I hand dug out my dad's truck during the first snow after we moved in.
It's, um, a bit more expensive. But it also works quicker
Are you fucking kidding?

No, No, it was funny to most of us...
Bingo! MOD up!
Gotta go with this. I've got a few cheapies. Just get a DSLR that you can barely afford. You will be happy you just spent the money up front.
Fuck. THIS. STOP giving shit away for FREE.
You never forget your first Shuttle launch... Still brings a tear to me eye!
