    Right hand on the mouse because it's a less demanding job than typing. I should note however that I am somewhat ambidextrous.

    Now that I think about it though, I though, I don't think I'd even be able to use a mouse with my left hand -- it would feel very strange.

    Wow, it's kinda strange to see Kristanna's name mentioned on my favorite web site. Kristanna and I, and a couple friends lived in the same house for about four months in the late 90's. Very nice girl; I can't wait to see her kicking Arnie's ass!

    I am a big Tolkien fan, but I thought that FOTR sucked big-time! I've never read a Harry Potter book, but I enjoyed watching both movies.

    I'm kinda dreading the next LOTR movie, because I know it will suck, but I'll have to see it anyway. I look forward to watching the next Potter movie.

    I think that you are right about the Java part, but dead-wrong about the Perl part. The O'reilly Perl library is an invaluable resource for education in the more difficult (and not-so-difficult) areas of Perl.

    Yeah, but it really only matters if you plan on burning more than one CD at a time.

    On my machine, I can burn a CD (IDE) at x24, run lots of applications, and not have any problems.

    Gong (or anything with Daevid Allen)
    Atomic Rooster

    There is lots of really good stuff out there, but the majority of it was produced between 1970-90.

    Perl has greater portability than Java. Perl programs run unchanged on a wide variey of platforms (~80 I think).

    How many platforms have a decent JVM? How many times have you run into incompatabilities between competing JVMs?
