I did. The unencrypted MP3 format is in more more
danger than either a blank casset tape or a recordable cdrom.

On the other hand fly-by-night outfits like MP3.com that are out to make a fast buck by openly trying to resell this kind of stuff over the internet are in big trouble.

It has nothing to do with the unencrytped MP3 format which stands a snowball's chance in hell of being banned. In other words MP3.com the company was the problem, not the mp3 format.

Luckly for me, I kept my old Reveal/Aztech sc400 rev a ISA soundcard. Bah. Talk to OS/2 and Amiga users before you call this a favorable review of NS6. This is exactly the kind of stunt pro-microsoft mags like Winmag pulled with both OS/2 and the Amiga and Atari ST computers. Not so fast. Take a *GOOD LOOK* at the fanfiction created by Anime/Manga fandom, especially "Undocumented Features" (http://www.eyrie.net) This pretty much is a fanfiction series that takes elements and events from series like Star Trek,Star Wars,Japanese Anime and Manga series with a lot of orginal stuff thrown from left field into the mix by the people writing the series whom have created a universe with it's own history from the pieces. The vast majority of fanfiction created by Anime/Manga fandom is not what you are trying to claim here. Another example of this is the fanfiction series which can be found at (http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Temple/1810). This stuff is pretty dammed orginal, and like most fanfiction created by anime/manga fandom is set in a alternative universe, not the copyrighted one.
