During WW I chlorine was used as WMD. Bromine is similar.
Nobody has buckets of clorine at home, what they have is some hypochlorite salts which, when dissolved, oxidize organics in water and slo-o-owly release minimal amounts of chlorine.
The flow batteries discussed here are supposed to use elemental bromine. If it leaks in your house, you have to call hazmat team. I mean, your neighbors will have to call, because you will be either dead or very busy coughing up what is left of your lungs.
Back in the 80s my work was related to power generation. So I know that the local power grid had its own communication network, there was no internet in the area at the time. Worked just fine for them.
170 hp is about 130 kW, driving at 50% throttle is 65 kW. 22 kWh translates into 20 minutes of fun then:)
Even at 1/4 throttle it is 40 minutes. Can drive 100 miles in 40 minutes?
Yeah, the part about dangers of ammonium hydroxide is hilarious - reminds me of the most dangerous chemical dihydrogen monoxide and its abuse by evil corporations.

You contradict yourself. If I drive and do not cause any accidents and do not impede traffic, according to your logic it should be irrelevant if I had a couple of drinks before the drive or not.
Nobody drinks 99% ethyl alcohol. There is cheap 95% alcohol for that. And to get it to 99% it is usually rectified with benzene - nobody likes the taste of it.
Test in the fscking simulation and then test on the street. Win-win.
Building car around a stereo? Sounds like amazingly bad design.
Yes. Even better, condoms which dissolve practically in no time so there is no need to dispose of the used ones!
Miles Per Gallon of electricity
Humans hunted something in a sustainable manner? Sure, if they could not exterminate it.

Right. Buckets of liquid bromine in a gizmo at home, what could possibly gone wrong?
Remember, it is controlled by a button, not a lever or valve. Buttons are electronic!
Drive diesel

Hey, sexy mama... Wanna kill all humans?
So they discovered that the first law of thermodynamics is not working anymore? Perpetuum mobile is the next step!
So now we can play first-person shooters by pointing a finger an yelling "Pew-pew-pew"?
Excatly. And heat IS light. Infrared light. And its been treated like that (lenses, mirrors, etc.) for decades, in IR spectroscopy for example

We need an icon for smug wanker!

So you trade in your brand new battery for a charged old one which dies on you in half an hour. That would be two grand and better luck next time!
I bought Galaxy Tab 10.1 recently (yes, mostly because of Apple) and flash works. Maybe there is something in the marketplace to download?

Now to add virtual people and it will be just like SimCity!
