    I have news for you. The truly intelligent give up on science and engineering to go sit in an office and bark orders.

    At my previous employer we had a very bright individual who held a PhD. in combustion. The company paid for him to continue his education, so he got an MBA from a very prestigious business school. The day after he graduated he left for a high paying gig on Wall Street. The company responded by no longer paying for any schooling for it's employees.

    It took two years to find someone to replace him.

    The upper stage was not a real upper stage.

    Which, after watching this video, makes me wonder how the upper stage is supposed to behave. I noticed it spun off axis after separation. That seems a little strange to me.

    Note: Yes, I watched it on Fox News. I've noticed that they actually have decent coverage of NASA.

    The three power grids are out of phase with each other. Are they doing a AC->DC->AC conversion?

    Correct. From TFA:

    multiple power transmission lines from each of the Interconnections will feed power into and out of the Tres Amigas SuperStation through multiple AC/DC converters, each connected by DC superconductor cables.

    The superconducting material is required because they are using an AC->DC->AC conversion. It's very difficult to transmit that much power using direct current without a superconductor.

    Back in 2000 I was denied unemployment benefits because I made the mistake of telling the interviewer I had tried to get some contract positions.

    I'm currently unemployed and someone just told me that I would still qualify for unemployment if I worked at Walmart because they pay so much less than what I made at my previous job.

    Man, I'm glad I didn't take that person's advice.

    The parent raises a good point. How do we know the rock comes back down to the surface as a solid? Why doesn't it rain lava?

    I have a p2015dn with that same problem, only it was after every big document. It was 100% solved by putting more memory in the printer.

    Are you sure there isn't a memory leak in the firmware?
