It is still appropriate to conflate communism with poverty and orwellian governments. History and reality have not changed. What has changed is the political makeup of the education system. If one is taught by communists, obviously negative experiences will be left out of the curriculum.
I had a conversation the other day with two brothers. One is a doctor that works for the CDC, the other is a college professor of philosophy. The subject of healthcare came up, and they both told me we need to move to single payer. They said people couldn't comprehend the multitude of health insurance option available to them so we needed to create a law that simplified it with a one size fits all solution. I said "so basically you're saying that Americans are too dumb to decide for themselves what is in their best interests." They both instantly exclaimed that that was correct. We are doomed. It's like that Simpson's episode where the "smart" people are put in charge of the town, and proceed to ruin it. Or just think of them as the pigs from animal farm.
The numerous youtube videos showing this exploit are published well into 2015. In the comments to the link I posted, a believable sounding person says that this is a hardware limitation and can not be corrected by software. Who knows, I hope the FBI would be smart enough to do this.
You didn't read anything on the link, did you? They even have a video of it. They cut the power to the phone before it can log the failed attempt. So every attempt is the first attempt, but you have to wait 44 seconds for the phone to reboot between attempts.
That's 10,000 possibilities. It seems someone could put together a lego robot to try all 10,000. If they were forced to wait 60 minutes between attempts it would be 416 days at most.
Yeah, 18 years is too short. But the 29 years used as the baseline is plenty long enough. It's funny. Climatologists claim to have an excellent record stretching thousands of year. Why are we using 29 years as a baseline?
That was the case 6 months ago. Now Saudi Arabia is peeing their pants in fear and regret. Their high prices created the incentive to develop shale extraction and make it economical. There is enough oil shale in the world to produce for decades. Every time I hear a report on what a barrel of shale oil can be produced for it's lower than the last time. OPEC fucked up, big time.
Also, laying up composites is a very fast process. It is also an additive process like 3D printing. 3D printing a 150' turbine blade is not fast. 3D Printing excels for some things, but it does not and never will, excel at everything.
Laying up composites is much, much, faster. And it actually is an additive process as well. 3D printed molds can be made much, much faster than traditional molds. You don't need to make a model, and you don't need to use a subtractive process.

...this is what more government looks like.
Bingo. If we can now be compelled to consume something, what prevents us from being compelled to produce something?
They aren't being asked to produce evidence, they are being asked to create a method to produce evidence. Two different things.
If they can force you to consume something (which they now can for the first time ever) why can't they force you to produce something?

See the link in my last post. I see no reason that will not work.
I'm assuming the FBI could build one of these.
And if you pace attempts correcty, it appears that you only have to wait 1 or 2 minutes between attempts, which is 14 days at worst.

I didn't know Ice ages appear at 30 year intervals.

Do you think Egyptians would have created the things they did if they did not have religion?
...what I said in the subject line.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of the most brilliant scientists the world has ever seen would disagree with you.
Tell that to Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan, Jane Goodall, and yes, even Charles Darwin. All of them would disagree with you.
It's not harassment, its totalitarianism, through and through.
Not major, the largest.

...is much more concise than "the latter company". Former and latter should be used when they are the simplest solution.

You said zero Democrats voted for the impeachment, did you not?
