    The IRA killed about 650 civilians in it's 30 year conflict. How does that compare to civilians killed in the name of Islam? Islam kills that many in about 1 week.

    That's ridiculous. There is more money being taxed and spent now to reduce income inequality than ever before. And the inequality is consistently getting worse. The stupid solutions don't work for anyone except the people cashing in on the administration of these programs. They make society and the country weaker in the long run.

    Honestly, I'm surprised the laser itself doesn't have issues with its own optics in that sort of environment. One tiny spec of dust on the lens would be disastrous.

    Not really a problem. The laser isn't focused at the objective, and the 30kw of light energy flowing through the objective tend to keep it pretty clean.

    The house is the only body of congress that was intended to be proportional. Originally Senators were supposed to be appointed by State Legislatures, but the 17th amendment changed that. In my opinion not for the better, as States now have no Federal representation. If you want to make the Senate proportional, why even have a Senate as you have just turned it into another House of Representatives?
