Yeah - about the only thing I buy there are marked-down PC adventure games in the stores that actually carry PC games. The only reason I continue to go in is to see used copies of games that have been out for a year, marked at the price that other stores were charging for it new the year before. That, and to try out the 3DS.
Sounds like my high school. The teacher that teaches the lower math classes doesn't even have a basic grasp of the advanced math. The advanced teacher was there out of necessity as the only one that understood the material
I would think it way more interesting if they made an adapter that turned a 3.5mm plug into a nearly flat magsafe-type connector. The way magsafe is done, there's a little more gripping power than with this method, at least for shearing forces.
If it really was a reply, then you'd think they'd be smart enough to encode at least part of the message in exactly the same format as our outgoing message. In addition, we'd presumably be smart enough to be looking for that specific pattern in all radio noise received.
If they're being typical Apple, they'd take a BSD-licensed implementation of XMPP, add some proprietary extensions, and hide the details of their work. Now go buy an iPhone.
So in terms of sandwiches, they're charging just over cost for meat, but 1000% markup for plain white bread. Still not a good way to sustain a business.
I'm on Net10 prepay, and it's only 5 cents to send and 5 cents to receive. It's still more than it should be, but since it actually takes minutes off my plan to use texts, it's far fairer than requiring the purchase of a full voice plan just so you can buy a separate unlimited texting plan.
It's one year early. Our mission to the moon started a 2^32 second timer, counting down to our demise - we were deemed a threat once we began manned space exploration to the moon.
Or, instead of subsidy, the gov't can use the same dollars to buy up dry grains in good years and store them for the bad years when they can release them back onto the market at a fixed price.

Nice. Thanks for that.
I wouldn't say "simply." I would say that covers the first factor of 2 in price difference. What about the other four jumps to make 10x?
In the US, though, we're more likely to put them in charge.
I thought you HAD to write a gui in Visual Basic to track an IP address http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkDD03yeLnU
Just a perfect example of your average IT mindset. Have to create those off-site backups of your DNA. Can't just reproduce here on Earth.
Good luck finding a judge that understands the difference.

That would make a funny day in court though - "But she's only an integer in a database, Your Honor"
It's no different than the government telling you to buy health insurance. Oh, wait...
Ever since the Motorola Razr, yes.

Never heard of the Eastman-Kodak company???
At a cost of only double the price of sending a text without an unlimited plan. You might be on to something...

Except that their profit margin on reselling to other carriers is so low in comparison, that middle men actually end up making it cheaper.

I've never looked at VM. Is that $25/mo. plan still available to new people? Can't seem to find any information.

So this was a pre-emptive measure to prevent future debt being unpaid?
It's just a cover. They actually plan to redirect it TOWARD an earth-impact trajectory, unless we pay a hefty ransom. Say, one MILLION dollars?

Sure, why not - never stopped Monsanto....
